How to join friends in quickmatch?

I don't think it's possible. Interesting enough though, if you select the friends only tab on the open lobby screen, you'll see the quick match lobby that you're friend is in. It won't have a name and you more than likely won't be able to enter.

Correct. It'll show in the community section and will indicate that said people is in the Quick Match Lobby. However you cant enter his room he's currently in.

We've been able to do it like this: Designate someone who will join first and stay in whatever room they land in, and everyone else continually joins and exits until they find the friend who joined first. Usually find them after a few tries.

I can see my friends in the Open Lobby section of GT6 even though they're in a QM. It won't show a room name, but it will list the track it's on. Just do a search of Friend's Room Only.
