How To make Your Car Go Faster!!!

To make your car go faster you need to buy a full racing transmission.  After you do this go to the test track and go to the top speed.  Then go into settings and go to the one that has the transmission graphs.  Go in and the easiest way is to go to the bottom of all the options to start your first time.  Then just push it to the right.  This should make the bars go to the right.  Now go and try this on the track.  The more you puch it to the right the higher your top speed is.  But you loose the acceleration in first gear.  After you feel a little more comfortable with your self you can adjust them even more.
To do this you need to do a little research.  You need to do a test run and see where your car is shifting.  When you shift gears what rpm it drops to after you shift.  Now after you check all 6 gears or 7 if you have a viper racer.  Go to your garage and check the specs on your car.  Look at the peak RPM.  Now compare that to where your car is shifting.  I.E.  If your cars max HP is at 8000 rpms and when you shift it is dropping to 4000 RPMs you are loosing precious time on a tought course.  So now you need to go adjust the individual gears.  To do this do the same as above except instead of going to the bottom go to the individual gears.  And they work the same way.  Right to make you have a higher top speed and left to have quicker acceleration.  Now adjsut these on the gears to get you car to shift in to your power bands.  You really need to do this if you run an automatic transmission.  Because you loose 500 RPMS of acceleration.  When you are in automatic the car shifts as soon as it hits the red line.  If you are in a manual you can run one bar into the red.  This helps a lot also.  Anyhow that is off the subject a little.  Now after you adjust you can check your acceleration gains or top speed difference in the tests.  I have not gotten a car to do it yet, but in GT1 I had a car geared so low that I could not accelerate in first gear.  I had to start in reverse!  Once I got to top speed in reverse I had to do a rockford and spin around into first gear and it would just barley take off.  now once you mess with your tranny and are comfortable with your knowledge, try to adjust the suspension.  This is more trial and error with different cars.  But you can adjust everything and everything will change how your car takes a corner, accelerates, and it will affect the drag and speed you up or slow you down top end.  Now I hope this can help out some of you newbies to the GT series and help you win some $$ and sweet cars.  Now good luck.  Ask me if you have any other questions and I will try to answer them.
