What do you think about the turn radius thing?

  • It should be set to the lower value by default

  • User/creator should be able to set to preffered prefered value

  • It should be possible to turn the turn radius off

  • There shouldn't be any turn radius

Hello everyone, im a great fan of this new tool and have lots of fun with recreating more or less famous race tracks around the world into GT6.

Yet getting angry sometimes because of the limitations of the app. Mostly of the turn radius, which is set to wider by default. Not a big issue when you're doing tracks with not so close layered roads and tight turns. Problem starts when you need to place turn/straight anchor point close to the existing part of track making it impossible to continue due to the damn default turn radius setup which crosses with existing turn radius.

I was thinking about how to overpass this issue and came with this: you place the main straight and and make an oval, not matter how it looks. When the oval is closed, tap on every segment and set to decrease the turn radius. Next is a bit more work to do with adding anchor points, moving and rotating them to desired position, but you won't be limited with the turn radius anymore. ;)

Hope you understand what i want to write here and hope it will be helpful to at least some of you guys. I will provide some pics later when i come home from work.

With this method i was able to recreate Slovakiaring main layout pretty closely to reality. Section closest to the main straight was causing me problems when i was doing it the usual way - one anchor at a time (i wasnt able to continue when i reached the turn on left which starts the paralel "straight" with main line).

Pretty happy with the outcome, as i reached the exact length of this circuit - 5922m. :)
