How to play real

How do I play the game so everything is as 'real' as possible? I find sim tires too ungrippy at the wrong times and normal tires way too sticky. I have no idea now. I have since stopped using sims and used normal. Plz help. Also, any alternatives to a Buick Grand National? I desperate need a car with such grace and powerful V6. Thanks.

I also let go of gas wen i shift gears, which in my oppinion makes for a realistic gear shift. And since not all cars clutches can transfer back to running RPM so fast, you can let the rpm drop a bit first then shift and gas. Its great on ford focuses and honda civics, sounds good too. Shifting before u get into redline, cuz even real racers dont let the engnie run past redline, thats just stupid.
