How to record replays from GT 6 via television?

Anybody? It is so nice to see in HD and it's worth saving for future! Can it be recorded directly from TV if you have a separate recorder? Appreciate all answers that could give me a helping hand. Have a great day all (racers)

I use Elgato Game Capture HD it connects to your PS3 via the TV and goes to your computer, for more info just Google Elgato Game Capture HD. There is another way of doing it is to get Camcorder and record your TV screen.

Highly appreciate that fordlaser777! Thank you. I tried Camcorder - but quality is way down with the disturbing frequency lines..... I will google Elgato Game Capture right now

Well, back in 2007 before I had a capture card in my PC, I used to plug my PS3 into my DVD recorder and record game play footage on to DVD-RAM discs - they are DVD disks that allow you to cut, edit and rewrite video even from your DVD player, no need for a computer, but yours would need to support that ability.

Since then I capture all game footage with a capture card, I have been using the BlackMagic Design Intensity Pro for many years now. Capture cards can be pricey but at least you can record the full, raw HD footage at 60Hz.

Can't you save it to a usb stick then upload to GTPlanet from a laptop ?

You can save the replay data and upload it, but for someone to watch it they have to transfer it to their PS3 and import it into their game data. It's rather laborious but it does mean you can watch it like any other replay.

I went to the store today to get latest updates.... I tried the Elgato Game Capture HD - but it didn't capture via a HDMI cable so quality is down a little from what you see on telly in HD 1080 - then the shop-owner told me a new thing that's out - and it does HD high quality - Roxio Game Capture for PS3 .... Have you ever tried that? Anybody else?

No I have not tried that Roxio Game Capture for PS3 because it does not have HDMI and your not getting full HD 1080 on you tv, with the Elgato Game Capture HD you will also need a 1 in 2 out HDMI splitter duplicator amplifier full HD 1080p with ac, this what it can do if you get the things that I have mention.

The Elgato Game Capture HD takes pictures as well, it stores all your videos on your computer so you can view them went you want and you can even put them on YouTube.

I just bought me a new one - see picture..... I don't know but it seems like anything I have bought lately doesn't work for whatever reason - ---- Please see attached picture - I have all hooked up according to instructions - still no signal or picture on my telli?

I have got that same one and it seems to me you have set it up wrong because of no picture I will not be near my PS3 for a day to help sorry, there is a good video on YouTube about seting up the Elgato Game Capture HD or just wait for a day and then I will have a look.

When you connected the Elgato Game Capture HD, did you change the display settings on your PS3 like in this video, go to the 4 minutes and 23 seconds into this video that shows you the setup.

The only thing was that I had to do the settings on my PS3 viewing it from my laptop as my tv monitor stayed dark..... when I had done the settings accordingly then it came up... THANK you very much for your guidance here fordlaser777!! And I got my new T300 RS today and it works really well - slightly heavier in slow and sharp turns - but it works very well, great feedback on the wheel - on PS3 as well as on PS4. I tried the new game on my PS4 - the Project Cars... well NOTHING compared to GT6 for sure - much more sluggish and not made in such exiting way as GT6.

No problem, speaking about Project Cars on PS4 I only played it for about a week and then I got rid of the game.
