How to restore previous custom avatar

Hi, fIrst of all I'm sorry if this question has been asked and answered before but I did a search and all the many avatar-related threads were about creating/uploading new avatars, not about restoring previously used ones.

This is my problem:Like many other regulars of the Motorsports forum, recently I changed my avatar (a drawing of a blue Morgan), replacing it with a picture from the Le Mans car I was hoping would win.

However, I want to restore my previous avatar, and the way I see it I only have one way to do it ... to upload again the picture into gtplanet servers.

Now, I understand, from my current avatar's URL, (with my user number followed by a "_12") that probably the my previous avatar is still up there, but when trying other numbers I didn't get anything. Therefore this call for help.

I know I can simply upload the pic again. But I think it is a waste of server space to do it since it is there already.

So ... and now directly adressing Jordan or admins if this is within their power:

1 - If my previous avatar is still stored in gtp's servers, may I know its URL so I can restore it?

2 - Wouldn't it be better if users had access to their avatar history and pics so they could revert to them whenever they wanted, without the need to upload the same pictures again?

I'd say it's too much work for something that's suppose to be under 25kb...

The avatar's URL is updated to ensure the previous version is not cached in web browsers, but no, the old versions are not saved. You will need to save any avatars you may want to re-use, then upload them to the site again, if needed.

Heh, I wondering the same thing. I noticed that mine ended in "_40", but I can't access them directly by punching in the URL. Guess that answers that...

The number at the end is not related at all, as I'm sure this isn't my 75th avatar.

I always wondered about that number, mine seems to be correct (around 20 changes).
