How will MazKid respond?

Ahahahaha that's funny as hell. I've heard of the commercial(I think it's only in Europe and Austrillia for the 323 Sport like the site said).

If it's so bad to show a car passing, then what's up with the Boxter commercial? You know the one with the old guy in the old Spyder and then the guy in the boxter races up to him, next to him for several secs in the wrong lane and passes him.

That's an outrage, but funny.

I thought it has 2 "L"s...Austrillia...ohh the "i" you mean? Lemme check up on the spelling....

Heh, yeah, they've got some pretty tough advertising standards there. Here in America, Mercedes decided the best way to show off the talents of the ML-class would be to ram it into a huge wall, and show the rollover test, too. Remember that?

Son of a...Damnit I have been spelling it wrong forever!!!!

It's Australia...

Shoot I don't think that this is the only place I've been spelling it wrong...

ahahaha

Yea I think I remember that one Doug.

There's been other bad ones too. Basicly this guy is saying that passing is reckless driving...idiot probably drives slow and gets passed by everyone.

that was eye candy for SUV haters, that's why they used it! :D

Well if you're comparing it to the Porche commercial you need to keep something in mind.

The Mazda commercial is placed where people who would buy a 323 will see it. And the Porche commercial is placed where people who would buy a Porche would see it. These people are not the same *kind* of people. Not only do they have different desires, but different life styles as well. And they have those life styles because of the kind of person they are.

The general public that views the 323 ad are much more conservative and think everyone should be conservative as well. They also, no offense to our 323 owning friends, tend to be less quick minded - they aren't necassarily going to get the joke. They might also see an opportunity to raise a stink with a large corporation and think they can gain something from it. Basically Mazda used that ad campain on the wrong car.

The group of people who would be seeing the Porche ad are a bit more fun-loving and understand the humor in the ad.

Commercials vary in markets.

Britain has some evil nanny group watching over theirs.

Please atand in solidarity with our British friends.

I don't agree Loud. At least in the states, it seems as many old and slow, young stupid and fast, and just plain "normal" people, drive porsche's. That was a retarded way to word that, and there's more in my head regarding, but my brain's still fried from the long week and it won't come out ;) Troy, I don't agree with you either, heh. If nobody cared about how commercials are, we could basically have shots from the fast and the retarded, as commercial clips. That would just promote more dumbasses on the road. I'm glad we have at least some form of limitations on commercials, but yea, some of the people in those roles need to retire/find a better suiting job, lol.

Wow. You know, they're not punishing Mazda ... they're telling the general public how STUPID it is. Essencially they're saying, "You're so stupid we have to monitor what you view because you may let it affect you, Mr Stupid."

My gosh, that is ridiculous. They'll be attacking racing games, next!
