howdy, mind aiding a moron?

ok word,

i just stumbled onto this site today, and since ive seen initial D, much like everyone who was, i too have the want to try and master this drifting technique for Gran Turismo 3. (sad i know :( )

anyways, ive seen such tips as using a steering wheel and using your analog stick to turn and all that..but the thing that gets me is...why in gods name will it not work for me?

now correct me if im wrong, but you shouldnt supe up a car to have like 800 horsepower and try drifting right? im just curious about that one...

but, the one thing i would definatly like to get down is a nice clean drift...nothing fancy...just id really like to be able to do it instead of powersliding like a dip**** and be like "ohh yey, i drifted...whut!" -_-

alot of you here say you know what your doing, if its not too much to ask, could you help me on out? id appreciate it a great deal.

hasta.

ahh yes, those fun friggin tires that make me spin out every damn time i use them >.<

there has to be some way for them to be used properly right?

cause what happens with me, is when the race starts, i burn out...when i try and recover from a spin, i burn out...and when im accelerating...i burn out.

what the hell did i do wrong:D

Use the stick for throttle. And go easy on it.

I'm gonna see if I can make a video, 1 lap drifting around Trial Mountain in an RX-8, driver's view with the wheel, pedals, and guages displayed. A picture's worth a thousand words, so a video would be like.... a gozillian.... Look for it in April!

for me i couldn't drift with the DS2 but when i got wheel i did drift alot better because because you can feel the car when it looses traction. so i would recommand that you buy a wheel (my opinion)
