hp scanjet 3570c

Hi. Do any of you guys know where I could get the software CD for the hewlett packard scanjet 3570c. I reformated my computer and lost the installation software CD :/ I checked the official HP site, but they make you pay 11 dollars for the CD. I was just wondering if you guys know were I could maybe download it for free somewhere. Thanks.

Do you mean the drivers? The drivers should be free.

If you want HP's bloated software, I say forget it. Windows 2000/XP (not sure about 9x) should automate the printing and scanning process, no other software is needed.

Well for that sort of money, you should probably just pay it. You can download "Photo and Imaging Software", which will probably include the drivers, but that's 205MB, so it'll take a while, even on Broadband.

It depends on your view of the cost really, it's going to cost you more than $11 for a new scanner, isn't it!

No, I dont need just the drivers. I need the entire software so I can operatie the scanner.

Hey giles, were can I download "photo and imaging software"? Did you find it on the actual HP site? Cause I looked there, and it wasn't for dl, that option was what would cost me 10 dollars.

Try this link

The HP site is quite pretty, but I think it's quite poorly designed. You have to look quite carefully at it sometimes to find what you're after.

And once I found a page on there from Google that their own on-site search engine couldn't find, which is pretty much unforgiveable, I think.

I have a ScanJet 4100c. I didn't need to install anything other than Windows XP for it to work. Which OS are you using?
