Hunter a Let Down?

After finally hunting down all 100 packages, the Hunter becomes available at the Fort Baxter Air Base. I thought that since you have to collect all 100 packages or beat Keep Your Friends Close, it'd be an awesome piece of machinery to fly around in. Although it packs rocket launchers and a minigun, I can't seem to fly the thing around without destroying it within a couple of minutes. It takes 2 rockets to take this thing down, yet it takes only a few palm trees before it becomes a flying fireball. I find it easier to fly around hunting down cars and pedestrians in a Sea Sparrow than the Hunter. On top of this, I am yet to get past Level 2 on Vigilante Mode with the Hunter. Is the Hunter a let down after collecting all 100 packages or completing the main story missions? I reckon so.

Aye give it a chance dude im sure you will like it in the end

Also when you get 100% the armour is doubled.. when the chopper starts to smoke do a couple of Brownthunder missions that will bring the armour back up..

Enjoy ;)

Thanks.

The hunter will get your media level up to new hights;) Rockets , lots of rockets and six stars . Just keep away from the copper chopper it will ram you and its lites out.

Trust me Eddy, the same thing happened to me before when i first got the Hunter, but now I can probably easily make a 100 levels if i had the patience. Once you get used to the heavier steering, and how to aim without crashing the helicopter, you'll be fine.

The sea Sparrow was hard to fly at first without crashing. I thought I would never get used to it. :( Now I can do neat little tricks with the sea sparrow. It just takes some time. ;)

I find it easier to get six stars in a tank. The minigun works better than the rockets in my opinion.

I can already fly the Sea Sparrow easily.

Just try it out at the airport in vigilante mode, try not to go too much into the city, that is more likely where you will crash. But the open roads in and around the airport are fantastic for chasing down rogue criminals and blasting their arses.

I love flying over Little Haiti and blow up Haitian gang cars :)

Since They're the only ones that KOS me I have no bad feelings abnout it... They shouldn't have pulled all that fancy voodoo crap on my. ;)

Thanks for the tip.

Heh.

Yeh, and it comes with a four star warning...Don't worry about police on the ground, their fire won't come near your helicopter, although sometimes the shotguns of the criminals can, so when they're outside the car, make passes, and try not to stay in the same spot. Also, use the machine gun on single people, because it locks on.

yes i've found that all the spparows (sea, and normal ones) have different steering contorls than all the other heli's. i found that in the sparrows for example, if you push forward all the way on the analog stick it will start tilting until it gets to a certain point and then stop and stay in that position, unlike any other heli when you push forward on the stick it will just keep rotating until it's basically upside-down, so the spparows have much more restircted controls which are prolly better for new flyers, but once you get the "feel" for heli's you'll be able to fly them as if you were driving a car! :D

I knew what i wanted to say in my head and i'm not sure if that made sense but anyway, that's why i'm #24 of the rumple club! :dunce:

Well, that's a good first step :) Now next time try and double that effort, and get to level 46...it's fun :)

Yeh, i hate those levels, just makes passes, and shoot with the machine gun. It works after a while.

There harder to hit when they're out of cars I reckon - especially in the Downtown district.
