Hunting GT7 in trailers...

Well maybe you're right i'm not an expert....but i'm just trying to guess if some of those trailers there's some GT7

I was doing the same thing as you :D watching every trailer and just hoping there's some GT7 footage :) but there is something I learned from them... If you look at GT1 opening movie, the graphics are very much GT2-like... if you look at GT2 opening movie, the graphics are very much GT3-like and it goes on and on like this pretty much every GT. So the graphics in GT6 trailers are pretty much what GT7 is gonna look like. :dunce:

It would seem that PD have been familiar with technology that has surpassed the PS3's power for a while now. They might have even experimented with the PS4 hardware for far longer than we think they have.

Another trailer which always got my head itching with curiosity was this trailer for the Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo...

I have no knowledge of the technical details, but surely this trailer was rendered using a far more advanced lighting and particle engine. Plus, the car has an interior, whereas the car in GT6 does not.

This could be the work of Aston Martins CGI programmers or something, but there's certainly a sort of technological collaboration done here. This is more an Aston Martin trailer than it is a Gran Turismo trailer, since it links to the Aston Martin website, and not the GT site.

Even if it's all pre-rendered, if this is the work of Polyphony Digital, they know how to make CGI look good!
This makes me somewhat optimistic about GT7. I don't expect the visuals to look as good as they seem in this trailer, but if it implements some of the tech, it would look far more convincing than GT6, and bring GT7 right up to next gen standard.

Yea thirsty for some GT7....:D

Another example is the NSX trailer mixed GT6 footage with something...who knows it could be GT7..:)

People on Gaf have been speculating this is actually a car model in a real life scene, having seen Driveclub and Horizon zero dawn's clouds and Illumination though the PS4 can handle this sort of detail.

Trailers are often pre-rendered, and go outside the boundaries of the standard hardware limitations. Technically speaking it may all be in-engine, but it isn't running in real-time on spec hardware, optimized like it is in-game. Theres already massive frame drops in GT5 and 6, if they ran the unoptimized software from the trailers I'd bet it'd crash the PS3 frequently.

I'm surprised you're digging as far back as GT5 for GT7 hints, I don't think a whole lot would've been made for PS4-spec in 2009-2011

I'm not worried about GT7 visuals, PD are masterminds in that department. It's really a question of "how obnoxiously exceptional is it going to look?".

Being as good looking as DriveClub would do for me, but I wouldn't doubt that Kaz and the team intend to edge past that benchmark somehow.

Fantastic graphics are a given. What I'm hoping is that with all this hiring Kaz is doing in so many key areas such as bot A.I., league racing and regulations programming, and everyone's favorite subject here, sound, GT7 is downright cyclopedic. By that I mean, they succeed in grabbing the essential hunks of the automotive world to give us entire segments of it. Starting off with either Karts or enthusiast racing a la Sunday Cup, but as a mini-championship taking you one level higher to something like America's SCCA. Serious racing with basic regulations in a mini-championship taking you to a higher level. Something like FIA GT4... and so on. This is what I'm hoping to see, Gran Turismo, the Next Generation. Kaz, make it so. :D

When you go to the Gallery to see the premium cars rotate, that's pretty much the same quality you'll get on GT7. There really is not need to go into greater detail than that because you can't see it.

I know most of the trailers PD is made is from PCs that have more power but i always wonder if some of them i'am watching a glimpse in GT7 graphics...

Example...watch at 1:31

What do you think?

They could have done that on PS3 if they halved the frame rate or made some other concession. Rally Sport Challenge on Xbox had damage like that, but there was never more than a couple of cars on track at a time.

Will that be in GT7?...Who knows. Maybe after we get the coursemaker ;)

GT7 will get damage in 2020...maybe

There is just incredible find! Toyota made an TOYOTA BARISTA ad, which uploaded on Toyota GAZOO Racing Jp, production probably was made in Japan, here is it:

And I am 99% sure that it is early GT7 prototype or at least Gran Turismo new benchmark demo. I compared video footage with other Le Mans tracks in other games, and only GT6 showed perfect concurrency (check the trees, house, trucks on the left):

Digits fonts and HUD design reminds me of GT too.

OMG , it is the same track model as GT6 , maybe it really is a early version of GT7...

It's Toyota's sim software for their race team. What does that have to do with GT anything at all? :odd:
What is "Toyota sim software for race team" at all? There is no doubts that simulator part in the video was made by Polyphony Digital, no matter it's GT7 or not.

I doubt it. From what I can see of Toyota's TMG driving sim, it's not quite up to snuff visually-speaking. It looks like it has PS2-quality models and texturing.

No, this is almost certainly Gran Turismo in some form. Though it looks like it's probably just a special GT6 build if anything, so nothing really to get excited about.

Yeah, that's definitely the GT6 version of Circuit de la Sarthe. The lighting is exactly the same.

On a different note, you can hear the stock GT tyre squeals under the sound of the car at certain points in the video if you listen carefully. Very interesting.
