Hey I was reading an old post at GTF (I have no life right now) and found this. Read it, it's pretty interesting. I didn't write this..just cut & paste. The guy explains how he figured out how to build a hybrid car with super high horsepower. He claims you need version 1.0 to do it, but it'll probly work with any version.

:
Step 1: Buy a car that you can [R] Mod (leave it bone stock for now)
Step 2: Move it to the #1 Slot in your garage (use the start button)
Step 3: Take the [R]Drag 180SX (not sure if it will work with any other car, I tryed a couple with no success) to the MaxSpeed event and race it
Step 4: Go back to your garage and the car in the #1 slot should either have an outrageously high HP level or it should be 0, weight will be 0 lbs
Step 5: Take it to the dealer and buy AT LEAST the following items: Stage 3 weight Reduction, [R]body, and Engine Balancing
Note: For greater tunability later on, DO NOT buy the Port and Polish (haven't figured out why yet but it kinda messes everything up, car runs fine but you wont be able to get it down under 2000 HP)
Step 6: Take your car to Tahiti Road in the Sunday Cup (not really necessary, but if your car sucks and you don't want to lose a race because of it, at least you could win this race on a Schwinn
Step 7: Look for parts that don't belong where they are, and either restore the default parts, or put the parts you bought on.
Note: You're car should have a Stage 2 NA Tune or Stage 2 Turbo on it (even if you didn't buy it it will be on there but not selectable)
Step 8: Use any performance parts to DETUNE the car (wierd eh?) til you get a reasonable HP
Step 9: Spank the Competition.
Note: If anyone can find a way to change the Down Force without a GS Please let me know.
Cars I've made successfully (by no means a comprehensive list)
'99 [R]Mitsubishi Galant 600-1200HP (I recommend this one)
'98 [R]Ford Mustang Cobra 700-1200HP depending on tune
'98 [R]Honda Civic Type R 450-1200HP (Handles good with about 800HP)
'97(?) [R]Nismo 400R 2100-2800HP (Can't find a way to get this one any lower, would like about 800)
'99 [R]Honda S2000 700-1200HP (FUN CAR!!)
'94 [R]Mitsubishi GT3000 VR-4 2500+ HP (Could make it go lower, but running low 7's @ 250MPH is WAY to much fun!)
More Notes:
#1 It has to have a [R] body available other wise it will be stuck with 0 weight and will not turn. From what I can tell the [R] body is a set weight and the Weight Reductions are a percantage (any percent of 0 is 0)
#2 Cars that will take both turbo's and NA tunes work the best so I've experienced (the Civic for example) because the are a lot more tunable.
#3 I've been messing with this for some time now, and I have found NO problems using these whatsoever, FF and 4WD drive like normal (almost) and FR cars will have a little to a lot more oversteer if you exit a corner full throttle, but most cars take this very well.

It might work, because the Max Speed event it's all bugged... it's the one that calls the car thief to your garage and messes up with your cars...

Personally i'm not much into hybrids, i've got some saves from the net with some powerful hybrids and i never used them... :yuck:

Yeah I'm not into hybrids either. nothing against them, I just don't own a gameshark...wouldn't even know where to buy one. I just thought this guy's method was interesting.
