Awesome, this is the first time a car I actually own has appeared in the game. Got my I5N on Tuesday and it's an absolute beast, so much fun! My dad had a Sierra Cosworth when they first came out which I drove a few times but other than that nothing else I've owned has been in the game. I wonder if you'll be able to turn the 'engine' noises off and choose between the 3 different sounds like you can in the real car?

We are just mere sheep who follow your guidance and wisdom :dopey:
I must be a black sheep then. :sly:
Hyundai: Hey, PD, let's make a Pikes Peak collab! A couple of cars and the track for the event?
PD: Sure, Pikes Peak collab sounds great! But how about one car and no track in December instead?
Remember when we were told back in GT Sport we’d get this Pikes Peak car in another Vettel collab?

I mean the RCZ GrB's looks made that a tad redundant :P

As for the ioniq 5 N, I'm worried it'll be less useful than a VGT would for a variety of reasons and the only way I feel it works in context of the upcoming 30th anniversary is that it's a road car, but one that another game series has already had some time ago, and it'll probably be able to be used in less events than a downtuned VGT (there are no 'asia events, just Japan for starters when it comes to region specific ones)

I'm certainly not against the addition though, far from it, I just don't get the timing or reasoning aside from advertisement

I posted this in February. Guess it was inevitable. Good stuff!
Genesis(Hyundai) making a big push with their upper brand vehicles. What of up To date Hyundai vehicles?
They’ve got a strong line up of performance cars.

With the AFEELA joining the car list, it’s probably time for the Ioniq 5 N to chime in.
It would be pretty cool to have those “engine” sounds replicated to add some spice to the EV experience.

Both just minutes ago, top from console, bottom from phone.

What Hyundai? I don't see it, and I have been checking each day to see if that present would be revealed.
I live in the US (if this makes it relevant)

Since this car has modes that are affecting performance/sound, it would be nice to finally have some sort of mode selector. It could be part of car settings page as it would affect PP points.
I would really be happy if we had something like this… for now I just configure my own settings for specific cars that have different driving modes.

Here's a bit of technical information about the Ioniq 5N, and Drift King Tsuchiya Keiichi putting it through the paces, even going sideways for a bit! Unfortunately, it's all in Japanese and Korean with no English subtitles :(

Showcased in the video is artificial ICE noises the car is capable of producing. I wonder if that will make it into the game?

Really loved this BM video, it gave me great insight into the car like no other online videos do. I am very glad that Hyundai are finally in GT apart form teh coupe lol & minus Genesis and can't wait to savour this hot hatch on the Lake Louise snow track or the Spanish Cataluyna Rallycross dirt!

we need an EV or hybrid only event ! pls pd! nice addition, always love some fun hatchs.
There was something like this in GT6, called Electric Circuits, but it seemed to have a combination of both EVs and hybrids. I think the latter type of powertrain - both in terms of "traditional" HEVs and PHEVs - are a lot more mainstream today than they were a full decade ago - with them being used in F1, LMDh, and LMH - so I'd say something like it should return with the exception that it be limited to BEVs like the Porsche Taycan or the Tesla Model 3 Performance. Furthermore, I'd also limit the event to road cars up to a certain PP. In particular, I'd imagine a value between 600 PP and 700 PP could be solid. So it's not like we could cheese it with the Jaguar VGT Coupe or something.

But if it just ends up being "featured" in something relatively broad like the Clubman Cup Plus or the WTC 600, I can't say I'd terribly mind.

About an hour after we published the article, they were swapped out for the "gift" image:
They've replaced the in-game images with the one with the present instead
They were located exactly where my screenshots from the article show - the in-game news page before World Map, and then the preview for that article, while opening the article would show the gift version of the image - and I checked on PS4 and PS5, on UK and US accounts (my Japanese account had a tantrum so I didn't get the chance).

The problem with an EV event is most of the EVs in the game are in completely unique performance tiers, and EVs seem to not have tuning options to compensate (like they do with, say, the GT-R events).

So you'd end up with a really weird event that had the Mission X, Ioniq, Afeela and i3 as opponents, none of which are competitive with each other.
