My first car, purchased today...after a few things are done to it (like a wash and a speaker replacement), it'll be delivered to me on Wednesday.

1992 Toyota Sprinter Trueno. Yeah it's weak, but at least it gets good mileage and it looks halfway decent. :D

Seriously...Other cultures jargon is sooo weird.....Halfaced....Downchanges...Whoooaaa..so confusing..Reading this forums is like a madlib

No, and its stuffed so it's probably putting out about 50hp.

But I got on the motorway today and this car was speeding up beside me while I was accelerating and my beast downchanged and they slowly started moving backwards. I was trying not to laugh.

Before I even think of challenging someone on a track, I'm going to learn to drive.
good choice. drive safely and drive considerately. well done on purchasing your own car. i've been driving for 4 years and still don't have my 'own' car, post some pics when you get a chance!

As soon as I find my camera (haven't seen it in months), I'll take some photos of it! :D

And no, it's not supercharged. There seem to be have been some small cosmetic modifications, like a replaced horn button and different hubcaps. Also, the tires are not stock....the front ones are Bridgestone, and the back ones...er, I forget what the back ones are.

Congratulations. First cars are always a big deal. Keep it running good and good luck.

No, but I have removed the front passenger side door's plastic strip in an attempt at weight reduction.

ahahahahahahahahahahahaha, i think you need to remove the other ones too in order to keep the 50:50 weight distribution

Take off those hubcaps! Not only do they look bad, they add wieght. You'll go faster without them. Better yet, go to a junkyard and go to the Mazda section, and look for any 4 lug alloy wheels. They will fit on them(unless it's a Miata, but I doubt that there will be one in a junkyard), and look cool.

My '88 323 SE Hatch 82hp 92ft lbs 1.6L I4 will kill everyone and everything.

Do ya' think you parked close enough?

Actually that's nothing. Since we have to usually park 3 cars in that lane we do precision parking, and park at times fractions of an inch away from the next car. Some one stands there and directs the driver up and then we stop. It's a great thing, though I admit we have hit our own cars, but not damaging at all.

Mazkid, Ive never seen a 323 or that era in that kind of condition:lol:
Yesterday in the paper, there was an 86 323 with new wof and reg for 1 grand. A good car to thrash for a couple of years before it gives up

Our's only has 70K miles on it. :D

It starts imediately, sometimes you don't even hear the starter. It's like "er roooooom". It's not like a normal for the age "er er er er er roooom porrooom"

 I keep getting the image of you sitting in your computer chair making those noises with your mouth and hands :P.

1k for that? I saw an 88' Camaro for about $600 once (missing passenger side door, trunklid, and lights didnt work)...

We were at the drags yesterday, dad was going to show all these 'boys' how a car should be raced but the B2000 wasn't up to the challenge.
