I can not update my version 80029564 error

I just hooked up my ps3 online. I started GT and it prompts me to update the version in order to play online. I have tried at least 6 times now with no luck, it downloads fine and then starts installing, once it reaches 14% an "80029564" error pops up. I've done the research online with no real answers.. Can someone please help me out..

have you updated you ps3 yet? you said "i just hooked up mu ps3 online". how long was it offline? also was your ps3 jail broken? if it was that is your problem

Australia has bad internet...lol. i thinkyour dropping signal and it cancels the download.... try to DMZ your PS3. then make sure you PC is off. then try to download it

I have the exact same problem. I am from India and I have a fast internet connection as well. But why the hell does this error still come up. Its driving me nuts. I have paid 3499 INR for a game which won't get updated!!!

How Sony manage game updates through their servers is embarassing to say the least. But this is for all games not only GT5 related. They could at least have done if your download stop, we can start from there, but no we have to start from 0%. As other people said try to: turn off you modem/router, close internet connection on your pc, if you still have problems try tomorrow. Most of times it's their fault not yours.
