Hey all,

Just thought that I would give you all props for being such richeous drifters. I am a drifter over here in Okinawa Japan, (OOO RAH MARINE CORPS) and I just have to say that if I saw half of the stuff that I see in these videos actually done on the streets than drifting would be a lot more entertaining. I drive a 1992 GTS-t Nissan Skyline (RWD model for those who don't know) and I have to admit that I couldn't phathom doing some of the sideways action that I see performed here. I mean, I've been drifting for a year and a half and (with out bragging) am a pretty good drifter. But some of this stuff is amazing!

I got into this whole GT3 drifting thing on a dare that one of my younger, unlicensed friends challenged me to and I'm hooked, so now, if I'm not eating tires on the mountians or sidestreets , I'm in the game with the FFB (force feed back) wheel perfecting my game. Now I do admit, the game is a LOT . . . .WHOLE LOT . . .easier than real life. But that's only because of the fact that there is no sense of lateral movement in your bedroom. But other than that, I'd have to say it's pretty much the same. Especially with the FFB wheel. So if there are any of you drifters who can use the FFB wheel efficiently (CUDAMAN) then I can't wait to see you guys on the D1 circut next quater. Other than that, just keep at it, and hopefully you'll move on to the next level of drifting.

P.S. I still can't get my GT3 cars to do what some of you guys' cars do. But I'm getting there, and I'll be drifting with the best, hopefully, til then, I'll just challenge all of the Local Japanese on the mountains and intersections.

P.P.S. Who does a Marine have to kill to get into a club, I have a really good aim  :P

Edit Again: They're up again. :D

Welcome to the drifting section. It's nice to get someone so polite, well-spoken and nice as a new member.

Welcome to GTP! And the best part opf the forums (Opinion, Opinion) the drifting section. And yes, it is nice to see a polite person with good grammar. Sweet azz car by the way. And once again, welcome.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I hope to have the honor of battling a few of you. Oh wait, battle in Japan doesn't mean anything bad, just in case you were wondering, it just means an exhibition between two or more people, usually used to refer to wangan or drift races or challenges. I hope to get some videos up soon, I some nice footage of me taking a Vanquish around SS Route 11, I just need to upload it. Boy, I'm lazy. Also, I want to let you guys see some of my actual drifting from Drift Knights over here in Okinawa. I did okay, but I only managed to come in 10th of 20. Not half bad, but not half good either. There was some stiff competition however, One guy had a FD3-RS (Yellow and black) and he completed most of the course sideways. Needless to say he took the prize. But, I'm still "Good for a Yankee" as the locals say  HAH! I guess that's enough for me. I love my Skyline but, I'm a strong lover of the Silvias, espcially the S13's. My personal favorite. Well, I'm starting to ramble so, thanks again, and I look forward to more cool posts.

Well, I don't have too much, just a single stage one turbo kit (installed by my friend Hokushin - "Shin") an exhaust pipe that has the manufacture written in Konji (Japanese lettering and language). A totally overhauled braking and suspension system, and I believe a new computer and fuel management system. I'm not too sure however about the latter of the list. I am sure, however, about the turbo, when I get the videos and pictures up, you'll see this monster turbocharger staring in your face like, "HEY, ME BOOS BIG!" LOL. But that's about it, oh and can't forget about those junk yard tires that we throw on every session.

:D Congrats! I'd be happy to see someone drift in real life. Be it touge, D1, whatever. I definatly look forward to seeing you drift in real life. Also I wanna see you drift in GT3, since real life and GT3 are quite close, I imagine you know what you're doing. Maybe I'll battle you sometime soon. When my ongoing one is done. :)

i've been around teh Shinjuku area. That was where I first played Initial D: Arcade Stage but never understood how to get a card lol

Hah, oh no, man, I'm not that good in the game yet, I'll never get up to you guys skill, I don't put in enough time, I don't have the time to put in. But, this weekend is Oktoberfest over here in Okinawa, so I'll definately have some time to practice my skills.

And I'm not promising anything, but they are setting up a large coned off area overhere by the park. And I don't want to get MY OWN hopes up, but, there has been talk about a battle or two comming up. I'm just waiting though. I doubt they would do that during this kind of festival, but hey, this is Japan . . . .only in japan . . .:P
