I feel so stupid, how do I...

how do I load a car from the garage data on my memory card in single player arcade mode? I've looked through the downloaded manual for GT4 (from playstation.com) and through the seemingly relevent FAQs on this site, and the only reference I've found, is in the first pages of the manual, where it says garage data can be loaded to access vehicles on my memory card, but it doesn't explain how.

Any car you buy/win becomes available in arcade mode.

If you traded the car, or attained them via gameshark or whatever, then they are not available until you buy/win them on your own.

I think MINICOOPER got it right... Not that daan is wrong, but I think he answered the wrong question.

In GT4 there is no way to load Personal Garage data into the single player arcade mode. 👎
It's the suck, I know. :(

For clarification:

Any cars that you purchase or win in GT Mode will be avialable for use in Arcade mode usually immediately, although you may have to actually get into the car for it to register. This will be a "stock-trim" version of the car (i.e. 0 miles, fresh from the factory floor)

To use your actual cars from your GT Mode garage, you have to be doing 2 player racing. As to the details of the stats that the car will have, I'm not entirely certain, although it will at least have any spoiler that you added to it.

ok, thanks for the information.
Kelvari; my experience is that the garage car (in 2 player mode) has the same specifications as the garage car in GT mode (including the type of tires available for use in Arcade 2p mode.) in other words, if you haven't bought it, or set it, for your car in GT mode, it isn't available, or it is at it's default setting for your car in arcade mode

Nope - except for Traded cars, any car you buy in GT Mode becomes available to use in Arcade Mode. This is a good way of testing cars out before you waste cash on them - with Autosave off, the game won't save until you get into/sell a car. So you buy the car, don't get into it, zip to Arcade Mode and try it out. If it sucks, reset the game and, hey presto, no lost credits...
