I got this 10 second delay and I'm not quite sure what I did wrong

Judging by the radar, the red GTR hit you and spun off the circuit. You will (probably) both have been given a 10 second penalty. It seems as though you did nothing wrong. However, it appears as though we need to work on avoiding collisions as much as anything else.

You had the speed and felt as though you had the right to take whatever line you liked. The other driver was heading towards your racing line, and could argue that you did not leave enough space. In my opinion, they should have worked harder to avoid you, think they may have wanted to get into your slipstream and misjudged the timing.

My guess is that when the car behind clipped your rear bumper he spun and went off into the barrier. Somehow that was your fault... flawed system equals flawed penalties unfortunately

That's unfortunate. You probably got the -SR and 10 s penalty because that guy rammed you lightly at the corner exit (at 0:41 in the video). You were ahead of him and held a consistent line, so you didn't deserve the penalty.

Looks like a false positive to me. Kinda worrying if it's possible to troll people by tapping them and then throwing yourself off the track. Not to give anybody ideas...

The penalty system is awful. In back to back races at that track I've been rammed from behind and gotten 10 second penalties, including one which knocked me way off the track and into a wall (driver behind completely missed braking point). Both were me starting from pole and being rammed in braking zones, using braking points that got me the pole. Not to mention all the SR points I lost in those cases for doing absolutely nothing wrong, simply because there were collisions at all...

And then I just had a race where I passed a Huracan that made a mistake in the 2nd final corner, then he dived bombed me up the inside of the final corner, bumping me to the edge of the tracking and taking the position, and he got no penalty at all (and again I lose SR points cause we collided). Just wtf is this penalty system. Hard to take it seriously.

There have been lots of complaints and discussion here about the penalty system. I didn't like it either but now I'm ok with it cause it taught me to stay out of harm's way and drive better myself. It's a game, have fun, you'll have some bad races and then some better ones and then some great ones.

About the penalty in the video. It's hard to tell, but the red car was right beside and you squeezed him off the track. Situational awareness is about knowing what's happening around you. I always drive with the rear view mirror so I know what's happening. Just like in the real world, two cars trying to occupy the same space is a penalty or a crash or worse.

It seems you are correct. Given the spin I guess their front left wheel hit my bumper.

I try not to make contact regardless of who's fault it would be but I'm not sure what I could of done in this situation beyond hanging back.
