I bought my DFGT for 60 bucks. I walked into best buy and saw the G27 on the shelf priced at 239.99 OMG that thing was sweet looking. I just cant imagine spending 240 right now on a wheel. :(

I am having a blast with a DFGT i just cant imagine what a G27 would be like. is there a big difference?

Use the DFGT as your training wheel for now ... that's what i do currently...

Switching from controller to wheel need a certain time of adaptation, even tho you know how to drive in real life...

Unless you are a Pro-race driver or track your car in real life on a regular basis...

But for me, i am still on the learning curve with the DFGT... and get your seating position confortable... do you have a set up?

As it happens I just posted about my view on the differences between G25 and DFGT (since I have them both) in the Sixaxis to G25 thread.

But in this case the answer is simple: The G27 would be an upgrade (particularly pedals and paddles are a serious improvement) but if you can't imagine spending 240 on a wheel then don't. Your DFGT is perfectly functional for GT5, and has advantages over the G27 with the buttons.

When your DFGT finally dies (or starts having trouble calibrating or whatever) then you can decide what to buy next.

I'm an idiot and now I have a 24 month credit to pay for my PS3+G27. I don't know about the DFGT, and I have little to no experience with controller, I barely have experience in the GT world or any sort of racing game. And I'm loving it!!! The G27 is one sleek looking thing, with great feel and a hefty price. If you can afford it, go for it.

heres my thing. I have the money, but I dont see it as a great investment just yet. Thank you guys. I will continue to use my new DFGT. I think I just had a "upgrade" firecracker up my rear end.

haha. Thanks once again.

The G25/G27 is a nice upgrade over the DFGT, but not nearly as significant as the upgrade from pad to DFGT. I would enjoy your current wheel & not worry too much about it.
