Well, about 5 months ago, I bought myself a DFGT wheel. I love it, and this is in no way about being unsatisfied with the wheel, however i have a problem (I need SERIOUS replies). So within a month of owning the wheel, my brake pedal started to stick, i call up Logitech, expecting to have to exchange it, but to my surprise, they just send a whole new wheel! The problem lies here. i now have 2 DFGT's, but I don't need 2, I have considered just holding on to it, and waiting until the older one dies on me. But, if i can get 100$+ for it, i would sell it in a heartbeat (the old one :sly:) so, i need suggestions for a reliable place to sell it (not eBay) I would consider selling to a fellow GTP member, but not in a private sale.

yeah, I've been trying, but i need somewhere reliable. If anyone is willing to give me 100 bucks US or Canadian, (I live in Canada) i would take that. i don't know what MSRP is in the US, but in Canada, that's 50% off!

Given that they sell here for $105 brand new with warranty and free shipping you're off with the fairies if you think someone's going to give you $100 for a broken, used one.

Mentioning you don't want to sell on ebay or in a 'private sale' to a member makes you sound kind of shifty too. You could always try Craigslist but that will limit you to the immediate local area and I doubt the market for one of these is that great.

Honestly, your best bet is ebay in a no-reserve auction and let the market determine it's value (my guess $60 provided you have all of the original parts and the box).

I would open it up, try to mod it and play with it. Since you can only sell the wheel since pedals are broken, hmm 60 bucks? Not worth it. Open it up, play with it..

Unless Logitech did say you have to return to them the old unit? haha

Want a "serious" reply. Well I wouldn't even give you even $20 for a wheel with a brake pedal that "sticks", and if I were you I wouldn't even try to sell it on ebay unless you clearly state that the brake pedal sticks.

Take it apart and see why it sticks, maybe you can fix it. Otherwise just keep it for spare parts.

Normally Logitech would ask you to either destroy the wheel and send them a picture to confirm this or to return it to them.

Also the serial number cannot be used again for another warranty claim. What would happen should you decide to sell it and the buyer decides to make a claim under warranty, (if it breaks), as it will all come back to you :nervous:

I meant I was trying to sell the newer one! not the busted-ish one. And, i'm not trying to sound shifty, just trying to avoid a shifty buyer. But, i've decided to just use the broken one (I fixed it by putting a sponge underneath the pedal) until it wears out, then use the new one.

EDIT: Oh crap, I did say I wanted to sell the old one!

I'd keep both. Maybe try to rig up a clutch or something with the old one; or just keep it for spares/as a spare wheel incase anything goes wrong with your new one. :)
