i hope EA comes to there senses

i just hope one of the car packs is a Porsche pack, i do love RUF but i like the idea that this is my car, and im the one who made it great. im sure it wont happen but wishful thinking

I think EA doesn't need to come to their senses... As much as I dislike their business model of gathering exclusive licenses, I get the idea behind it.

Appearently, though, the contract that grants EA exclusive rights to the Porsche license is supposed to be expiring somewhen during 2012. Hence, it'd all depends on whether Porsche and EA are going to renew the contract. If they don't, there is a distinct chance that we'll get a Porsche DLC pack, I guess... I hope so, at least.

well that is a ray of light in a piss filled swamp of disappointment, thank you my friend

EA are money grabbing morons, I'm sure they're already working on a way of renewing it as we speak.

They probably are, and it's to be expected for them to try and keep some exclusive licenses. I assume it's just down to how much Porsche is going to ask for renewing the contract...

As long as we stay well clear of NFS 'The Runs', Porsche/EA may get the message. Exclusive cars don't sell games alone.

Well, I'm not into NFS, anyways, so that's not much of an issue for me, at all :D

Me neither, although I did buy Hot Pursuit, and it was a decent arcade racer. Trouble is, once I'd 100% completed it I never touched it again.

Also, I don't think we need another NFS game within 12 months, but that's EA for you.

I can easily pass on this one.

ooooo evil money grabbing morons, why must they ruin a small boy of 24 fantasy of driving a Porsche

I'm 25 and I've driven better than a Porsche before in real life :P

I've said this before, but SHift 2 did a lot of things right. Not that it's as good as Forza in my opinion, mind you, but it still did a fair few things right. AI and sound effects, for example...

Most NFS games aren't for me, at all, though. And wouldn't I've been craving a racing game, I wouldn't have bought S2U, either.

Eh, I'm fine without Porsche in the game. However, I hope Turn10 comes to their senses and releases a car pack with the CTR "Yellowbird." That's the only RUF that I really care about.

+ track selection was dare I say the best in any racing game to date, Forza has a lot to learn in regards to that..

True, true. The track selection was top notch. I mean, they had Mount Panorama, for crying out loud! And Dubai. I'd kill to have those in FM4.

now that is a good looking car!

Hell yes it is. I don't personally care for Porsche (but I can see why others do, and I respect them for their automotive achievements) but something about the YellowBird (even though it's not a Porsche) really gets me, I absolutely love that car.

well cars are like women, you know some like blondes, some like redheads, you know as a good looking woman walk past a group of men, they all stare and nod like a group of bobbleheads, but at least theres always one guy who likes his women with a mustache, and this is why we are not his friend

Porsche increased their revenue by about 18% in 2010 as well as their sales by 28%. I doubt they've got that much of an issue when it comes to money ;)

By all accounts Porsche employees lobbied on behalf of T10 to no avail, so hopefully come renewal it won't have fallen on deaf ears.

I also believe I read that T10 had modeled a 928 just in-case they got the license last minute. EA would make baby Jesus cry.
