Yes, I just bought it and feels good, I can't wait for Thursday.

Now, as an answer to a dead thread (apologies to the moderators, original thread is so old that no notification is going to be displayed)

in an earlier conversation someone asked should I use gloves? And someone recommended bike bar tape on the steering wheel.

As promised, bike bar tape on the wheel...

The grip is so much better. If you just play GT Sport is not worthy, but if you play PCARS or anything with a stronger FFB you might want to look at this.

Advantages: grip. It also makes the steering wheel thicker, which can alleviate some forms of light finger arthritis (like the one I personally suffer solely because of sim-racing). And it protects the real surface of the wheel. In 5 years time, when SONY/Logitec screw us forcing us to upgrade again you can remove whatever tape you used and the wheel will look like new. And... looks cool.

Disadvantages: If you leave that on your wheel for too long it could damage the original surface, there must be a determined time recomended to change them (perhaps every six months? or something like that?) The tape is cheap, this one is from a profesional racing team, but I got it for £5 in Ebay in a last second auction. Installation is not easy, but it takes no more than 15 minutes. If the tape comes with sticky line in the back it can be a bit messy to install, but totally worth it!

I hope this can help someone, it is definatelly working for me.

With your permission I have included everyone who was in this thread, I hope this can give you a cool idea or two @Mr Tree @user3392345 @mysportstuff @slthree @Mr Grumpy @zuqbu @dolande @JadeRaven @Jezza819 @2112 @VBR @Double Ayyys @cjr3559 @F Inferno @CB_racer @Pubs16 @nige48 @pyrates @simsimsheree @Wolfe

Neat idea. It certainly bulks the wheel rim out so, as you say, your grip doesn't need to be quite so tight.

It depends on how much you use it but it'll probably need a refresh around then. Since it's a lighter colour and cloth it may begin to get a little dirty.

I prefer gloves, since I bought them, the grip feels much better, G29 is a beautiful wheel just like it is, with no accessories.

Mmmm interesting the bike tape mod...
Seems confortable for sure, there are also a type of foam bike tape that could be comfortable and grippy..

I'm considering trying this mod on my T150, for now I'm using weightlifting gloves, and those are confortable and gives good grip..
