I just lost 55000 DR points in one day. How is that possible?

The title says it all. I was an S/S at the start of the day.

4 races at Monza. The first one I was pole, but someone crashed into me on the first corner (Not sure about you guys but almost every time I'm on pole in Monza I get at least bumped in the first corner) and I fell to the middle of the pack where it was carnage. But still finished S/S.

2nd race was pole, and won.

3rd race started in 3rd and bumped the pole slightly on the chicane right after the start. The pole didn't even go out the track, and kept its 1st place, but I got 10s penalty. When coming back from the penalty I got hit by a car, got another 8s penalty. Ended up the race on 7th place.

4th race I started in 4th and the 3rd place had a really bad connection, so because of the lag it hit me in the back really hard when I overtook him at the chicane. I get thrown out the track and still get a 10s penalty (for getting rammed on the chicane). End up finishing 6th or 7th, I don't remember. Look at my rating, and it's a B/B. Now I thought ok, I fell to B on the SR and the DR went with it, but I'm sure my points are still there as it happened before, and as soon as I get my SR back to S my DR will go back to S also.

But when I check my points I lost 55000 points on the DR. In 4 races. If you drop off the race you loose 2000 points, which I thought was the worse that could happen. How do I loose 55000 points in 4 races?!?!?!

Went from 67000 to 12000. And honestly, at least 80% of what happened yesterday wasn't my fault, as getting rammed from behind when braking for the chicane. Very, very frustrating.

Your SR fell far enough to trigger a DR reset.

DR reset? So does that mean I'm starting from zero again? That sucks big time....

Did that change with the last update? I had times before where my SR fell to C and my points didn't reset, why would it reset when I only fell to B?

The information that I'm aware of on the topic states that:

"A low SR score can limit the DR Class, and even reset the DR score to predefined values (7000 pts if SR dive below 5, 20,000 pts below 15, and 50,000 pts below 30."

It's not new with the recent updates.

So it sounds like your SR score dropped below 15, which reset your DR to 20,000, which is actually towards the top range of DR B (10,000-29,999).

I guess hitting an SR score of 15 is lower than SR C.

I took an S/R beating at Monza yesterday too, for stuff I felt was not my fault. I usually choose to start at the rear because of the first corner carnage that always happens there. 9 laps or whatever it was and people need to get in 1st on the 1st lap at 1st turn, I just dont get it. I got rearended and pushed thru the run off at T3, that was my first 5 second penalty, I didnt brake check the guy behind, he just forgot you have to slow down for that turn. Then I got another 3 seconds for rear ending someone out of T6 who didnt know there was a long straight and must not have picked up the accelerator. I went in the corner over a second behind him then all of a sudden his car is barely moving on the straight and not ghosting. That does not include the times I was not penalized for getting rear ended and pushed in the sand at the Lesmos. I thought S SR drivers were supposed to be better than that. They need to adjust the SR system so that your SR does not move up unless you are actually passing cars or getting passed at racing speeds, maneuvering in traffic. I think far too many got their SR ratings up to an S from driving laps at the rear of the race. There are so many guys I am afraid to pass because they cant drive a straight line on the straights how are you supposed to even think about going into a corner side by side? Then you have the guys with a week interweb signals blinking all over the track, that makes it extremely difficult to drive behind because you never really know where they are and you will just end up with more SR reduction unless he goes off track.

You it seems unfathomable to lose that much s\r in s/s. Sense a little bs.

I wrote a summary of 'resets' not long ago. If they worked correctly we'd be calling them 'limits' instead.

It didn't change with the recent updates, but PD have increased most of the -SR amounts, apparently by a stupid amount.

Previous to this it looks like you benefitted from the bug in the 'resets' twice. First with a boost to 50000 by dropping below 35 SR (day 94), then again to 70000 by dropping below 60 SR (day 95).

So with that bug and the wild swings in SR, PD have ruined both ratings :grumpy:

Interesting... The day that I got the spike in DR points was a day that I had turned an amazingly fast lap in Monza and ended up playing nonstop from 6pm until the change in race at 2:30 am, having almost always the pole and almost always winning or coming 2nd, and I thought that was what drove my rating to S. I guess it wasn't... LOL

Well, I guess it's back to climbing back up to S again...

I'm more curious how the OP gained 34,000 Dr pts in a couple of days (days 93-95). That's insane lol

But its actually not impossible to gain that much DR in few days. In this case it was a bug, but i did go from dr B to S in few days, my DR go up over 22.000 dr in 4 days play. Thats with out bug´s.

my stats:

how i did it
This race alone gain me about 3000 dr

And i just kept playing with the same strategy, same race same track same car, and my DR just kept going up. If i just had enough time that day to race enough races, i could do 34.000 dr in few days
