Nah thats not acceptable, you shouldnt have to do a backup save manually when PS Plus offers the feature anyway, this is pretty **** tbh Id contact PD or Sony
A backup save manually to PS Plus is better than Auto-upload.

Doesn’t do that automatically?
It should. My PS4 would only boot into safe mode a couple weeks ago and I had to reset it to factory settings to get it working again.

Click options on the GT:Sport app from the PS4 menu and there should be a "Download Save data" or something along those lines. If it isn't the most recent save it's at least better than nothing.

I will try that thx! I wonder if anybody else has this problem other than me. It just seems weird how the cars disappeared from the garage

I tried this and the only option is to save online or to the PS4 system. How do I save to a USB? I did insert the USB when saving to the system and it definitely isn't there.

Well shirt happened. Somehow I pressed some button I wasnt supposed to and I lost 2 cars I bought today, the decals and livery I made, credits, 2 fastest laps, and the one and only win I've gotten in Gr.3. And they have been removed from my profile too.

Oh and yes after working all day to get out of the D/E ranks, Im back there again.

Check that the USB is being recognized. I tried this and the USB didn't show up, so I then formatted the USB to FAT32 and had no problems since.

Thanks @FPV MIC it looks like that will work, I just need a new USB stick since the computer wants to erase my GT6 files before it will do that.
If it has your GT6 files it should already be FAT32, but you could also transfer your GT6 file to a folder on your computer and then give it a go.

I had to do this also last week. Sucked balls

This is where you have to backup your save game daily, because you never know if and when it is going to happen.

It might be good to do a manual save to the server and/or offline storage (USB, etc.) after a significant event. I ran and won the Gran Turismo F1500T-A race at Brands Hatch, then exited Campaign Mode and ran a few Arcade races. I was in the middle of the third Arcade race and the power failed in my house due to a storm. When the power came back on I restarted the PS4 and GTS and the results of the Brands Hatch Gran Turismo F1500T-A race was not saved. Had to run it all over again and it wasn't fun the first time !!
