I seem to be a little stuck and was looking some good advice about the GT World Championship in the Professional Events. I have a AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR race car with 1083hp. I have plenty of power to take and hold first for a few laps, but then my tires go to crap. Does anyone know some good setting for the CLK-GTR or any Endurance races I could win a better car? Some of the Endurances races are against the same cars I can't win against, so have to leave those races alone.

This is how to win:

Use the Practice mode (Qualifying) to determine the maximum number of laps you can run without pitting. Pick tyres which will last you more than halfway through the race before they go off (R2 front, R1 rear should do it). PIT AT EXACTLY HALF RACE DISTANCE - this gives you the best out of both sets of tyres, with two wear-in periods and NO wear-out phases.

You'll win. Every race.

From here.

Win the El Capitan 200 miles for a Minolta, fully tuned that things hitting way more than 1100bhp! Easily enough to win the GTWC. And your only up against V8 sports cars too, so it should be easy.

Theres always the Nur24h for the Forumla Gran Turismo if you just feel like trashing the opposition.

Power is nothing without control.

If by "V8 sports cars" you mean "Le Mans Prototyes and Group C racers"...

Please have a look at the FAQ threads on the main GT4 page. This is definitely one of the most-asked GT4 questions on this forum.

Congratulations, however, on at least clearing the first hurdle - unlocking the GTWC. Lots of people don't seem to get that far.

True.

I meant the El Capitan race is full of V8 sports cars :P

Hey, take a look in my sig if you ever buy a 787B. It will take you through the entire race on tires at pretty decent a-spec points. (787B Enduro tune)
