So what do i get? I have a fear of my psp getting "bricked". I think i would cry now that i have gt mobile lol. I really want to put the game on my umd. i have a psp 1000 btw. Any help would be greatly appreciated đź‘Ť

having an original PSP (1000 series) makes it very easy to mod.
the easiest is getting a "service tool" or hack your own "pandora" battery.
there are many advantages in having custom firmwares.. I like how you can run CWcheat.
it's like having a gameshark or action replay..
I'm currently running 5.50 Gen-B2 on my PSP1001.

I also was afraid of bricking it so i asked someone to do it for me (obviously someone who knew hoe to do it ) .
I hacked my psp to play gt2 and ff7 on it and then i discovered a lot of advantages for me the better part is that your battery life will increase a lot and i mean a lot !!!
By the way if you want to put gtpsp into your memory stick you`ll have to decypt the iso after ripping it from the umd to create a new one due to fw issues but actually it is very easy if you have any doubt i`ll happily help you

Im a moderator (same name as here) over a PSPmod.com. We have a large guides section and many knowledgeable members.
I want folks to be aware though that there is a bit of an "old guard" over there. If someone jumps on you for anything just let it roll. Avoid the chatbox unless I'm in there. I can fix anyone that gets out of hand.
There is no discussion of piracy on PSPmod and there is an expectation that you are willing to help yourself and follow directions. But overall there are some helpful people.

You don't even need a Pandora anymore if you have a hackable motherboard (All Phats are hackable). You can run a program called ChickHEN R2. This will install 5.03GEN-a which is a temporary firmware that needs to be run every time you start up the PSP. At this point, you can run a program called XGEN Updater and this will take you directly to the full 5.50GEN.
