I need help passing the Daytona Road Course Ferrari Challenge

I have to get to a top 3 posistion from 16th in this race on the Daytona Road Course with a Ferrari F430 but no matter how good I drive I can only get as good as 6th place. Can anyone give me some tips on how to beat this challenge?

This is the one lapper right? A8 or something. I personally can't help you reach first since I never finished higher than second, a distant two seconds behind the winner. It is my understanding that this particular event became much more difficult in Spec III than before. I haven't tried it in a few months though.

The only tip I can give you is to check out youtube. There are several videos showing how it's supposed to be done. Actually doing it is another thing.

I won that by being really aggressive in the corners, basically bouncing off the competition on the inside. Not honorable, but I was ticked that it was taking so long.

You need to be as aggresive as possible. Cutting a bit in the corners where possible, and not let the AI cars run you of in corners. And learn the AI cars patterns, since they're allways the same it showes you where you can get through.

There are key corners to this one as well, you HAVE to start overtaking aggressively into the first right hander, and from then on its really got to be heart-in-mouth stuff, braking very late everywhere, late-apex the next right hander, flat through the fast left, late apex again into the tightening right, early on the throttle through the left hander onto the banking and rev the absolute ring out of the engine, go as fast as you can through the bus-stop section down the back straight, and slipstream slipstream slipstream.

the most i got was 3rd, cause i never bothered going back after that . To be as fast as possible, take all risks of going off to be as fast as you can. That's why im so good in underdog cars in the high pp races. I have told you my secret. Use wisely.

Thanks for all the help guys, I got third by braking late and basically drving like a maniac. I was sixth going into the chicane, I cut the corners through that chicane which got me to 4th and I slipstreamed to third place.

I hated that race--finally getting through it is a helluva feeling though, isn't it?

I'm not proud of the maniac i had to become to complete it, and I bet most in here aren't either. I can't remember if I came in second or third, but I was a long way from first--I saved the replay after finally getting it though. carnage on the first 'road course' bit looked like something in a burnout game.
