I need help... SOLVED

My m8 is in time trial 9n Tokyo east inner, gr3 nismo, hitting 187mph on the home straight. He sent me pics of his tuning, all settings identical except he's using tcs and mine is turned to zero. I'm only getting 177mph and that's about halfway through 5th. It won't rev any higher, I'm not even getting to 6th gear.

He's getting to 6th gear and getting 187mph.

Why is my car underperforming with identical settings/tuning?

I already tried it with controller to see if my g29 throttle is bad, same results, 177mph and stuck in 5th gear.

Haven't driven the car yet but can you adjust downforce?

Also does he have slightly more or less power or weight?

Also check your both using the same compound tyres.

BoP is on, weight and power identical, our downforce is also identical. Entire tuning/setup identical, including suspension, tyres and gear ratios

It's probably the TCS. More grip more speed.

I turned my TCS to where his is at and I got 175mph instead of 177. In GTS, tcs has been proven to make you slower.

Edit: I tried it anyway just to rule it out.

I know you said you tried a controller but tbh it sounds like a dragging brake pedal to me.

I'd reboot everything and all that jazz also, or maybe your friend thinks it's April 1st.

Nope... No onscreen indication of any braking at all, just can't rev past 6200rpm in 5th gear.

This is really pissing me off!

Ok if you have plenty of funds. Buy another identical model and try the same exact tune again. Maybe the game gave out a dudd. This happened in gt5 and 6 aswell.

Also double triple check all your gear ratios are exactly the same start and end gears for all gears. Check the milage on both your cars. Also it may be the case like on GT5 or 6 that smaller or bigger wheels or different wheels are having an effect.

Even try the same same paint and everything to try and figure out if it could be some weird bug with the car. I can't think of anything else yet.

I've come to the conclusion that either something is bugged with my game/console, or he's full of crap and he turned BoP off but turned it on when he sent the pictures. There's no bloody way. Thanks, yall!
