Make sure you execute your META tag very effectively. If you have enough stuff in there that you would type in "Google" when looking for something, then you will pick up about 20% more hits alone.
Other then that just like put it as your signiture and stuff,

Also, ??????, you really should at least get a book on HTML. Meta tags are some of the most basic and yet most important tags that a site can have... I won't bother going into deep discussion about them, because you can find that out wherever.
