I've got a really fast setup for Indianapolis (43.6s offline) but it eats front tires up in 10 laps. I'm currently running +0.35 degrees of toe in the front, -2.5 of camber, ride height 12, front spring rate is 20.0, shock package is 5 ext., 5 comp., and 5 a.r.b. The car really turns well, I can put it wherever I want at any angle of entry without heating the right front. I haven't tried to run anything other than soft tires for fear of losing grip. Are you Indy pros running Hard or Mediums and rolling out of the throttle on shallow entries or is the problem in my front end setup?

Lots of good information given...just missing one very important thing! What car?:sly:

I would say the front toe is a lot of the problem. Try decreasing it by about half your number, and maybe soften the front springs to help make up the turning.

Would you raise the front ride height after softening the front springs? I feel that the main reason I carry more speed through 1 and 2 than most is I have the nose closer to the track but have a stiff enough spring to keep the splitter from digging up the bumps. Whats your opinion?

I havn't ran Indy a lot, but last time I did run there was in a race series. I took my normal road course setup and all I changed was front ride hight, raising it up quite a bit. I think your tire wear is coming from the extreme toe angle, while going down the strait your dragging your front tires across the track at 200 mph

I don't believe the low ride hight helps in this game as much as it does IRL. (there is no aero under the car in the game) The only downside I've found to raised hight so far is the taller center of gravity causing body roll, but stiff springs and roll bars can counter that.

This is good stuff, thanks man!
