I spent the best part of two weeks,night after night whipping a mc merc
way outside the limits of it hard sports tyres,(yes hard)its airride suspension
(the merc spent most of drive in the air)power drifting in the sharp turns,(so the back
of the car hits the armco,to avoid that 5sec panality)(thats go home and start AGAIN)
This run is tough,along with the rally at the Opera
Anyone who has cleard this mission wil know that all the driving skills and
training you had to master for the licence to play is game, do not apply here.
At the end of the
first week,and only getting to whithin 6sec of this old SL300.
I started to watch the replays, the lap times of the other mercs,and
noted that the other cars(or linebackers) were way behind this 300
How is it that a 2000 model AGM (second car to start) cant run down
a1954 merc with steel wheels and VW hub caps.Mercedes car manufacting
tech has slide sideways the last 44years. WHAT THE!
OK this 300 must be on steriods(they were legal back then for performencing
inhancing).And then it clicked(the light came on)its a scam,a trick.
At the start of GT4,when you first boot that little black box,look in the credits,
19 pages,hundred of people and the program writers, (Thats who you are
competing aganst) they wright game programs to popular demand,with
the competion for the gamers dollars or yen it has to stay popular.
The demand for more divercity,improved AI,better grafics ect is what sells.
OK those writers have meetings, (in the boardroom,must be a long table)
and must have agreed(by majority of course)) to make driving mission 34
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.
Game on tough gets TOUGHER,no holds bard.
One of my pastime is to look for loop holes or short cuts(walk the racetrack
as the drivers do).
During months waiting for GT4 to be released down here,(we have the US
version and turn the metric on),running the Toyota GT1 down the testcourse @
2400kph and wondered how tough are the boundry limits of this program.
So the cremlem Mr distructive testing(that a real thing I do in my day job)
start working on it and sets up the test.
You can blow thru the boundry(the long transparent tunnel we drive down)
at 9 or 10,000kph and Toyota vaporizes,yes disappears,gone.Anyway
back to that board meeting thing.
Another week probing,timing the passing moves on the linebackers.
I hit the back of that 300 5 times and lost it with 5sec panelty.
Broke the right toggle on the hand controller trying to stop.Anyway.
Job done,crossed the line -0.34sec ahead and $48.00ausd out of pocket
for the controller.
Heres the joke of that board meeting THE PRIZE.
I persevered with mission 34 because the spec sheet on Lenos tank look
impressive,most impressive,29333litres of aircraft engine must leathal
on the testcourse,(I wonderd why the horsepower was not listed,not
enough space for the numbers maybe)and that cremlem can use
this to brake out of GT4,new game tougher boundries will require
greater mass,its got that alrighty 3.5tonne of it.
Just kiding (not).
The car tune specialist should,if they have it,run it down the Nurburgring
World circuits,and check it out.You can see it all working,inboared brakes,
exsposed suspension.Get Arnnie to drive "B"spec it.
Settings ASM over 15 maybe 20
ASM under 15 to 20
TCS 0 this unit gets the power down in both directions
WHAT! yes this monster has wheel spin AND wheel BACKspin
GT5 will require TCS controller for backspin on this model
Run it down the ring,more like set it adrift.Its like whatching a petrol super
tanker with the cornering of a hovercraft,and Arnnie does a good job
to keep near the black stuff.(Arnnie shouid do something drinking
problem he shakes that steering).
Anyway GT4, an excellent game program,its addictive,sometimes
frustrating,confusing.It brings people from allround the world together
on forums like this and exchange idears.
Those people in the credits done a good job.
OH sorry, that sparkplug question, to reach escape velocity the
Leno tanker needs minimum of 10 cylinders pumping not 4.
