Whatever you call him Co passenger whoever reading the directions for driver in any point to point times. I dont want it in the sounds because i will have problems with. I am deaf how can i suppose to hear him? hopefully maybe theres will have a little signs on the corner saying me the dircetions.. i dont want a track map in my screen because i will know where other racers at. Dirt2 have em and i had problems with his reading with voices so i had to study the map before i drive point to point. its hard for study a long run. What do you think?

Sorry, English isn't my main language.

So far, all rally type games I played had an option to have an icon on screen that showed the upcoming corner; depicting the type of turn (left / right, angle of turn, depth of turn)

Wouldn't worry about that 👍

i think it would be cool if when you were playing online in wrc, you could either choose to play as the driver or the co driver

Just learn the stages by heart. LOL no but seriously, they should include signs, they did it with alot of rally games, so I hope they will do it here too.

A simple arrow at the top of the screen showing the approaching turn should be fine for rally stages.

Read the road ahead and learn the course! I've got a younger cousin who is partially deaf, and relies more on what he can see than what he can hear. He manages fine after a while, but yeah, it takes him longer than it would most of us to nail a course.

Having said that, it should not be too difficult for them to include arrows of varying angularity in the top corner, or as said above, some kind of subtitle. Good idea chepe371.

Still, not hearing the co-driver is only like us playing a twisty "London Course" or similar for the first time. Just need to practice and learn exactly as you would on something like the Nurburgring.

the coloured arrow system has been in use for years in many/most/all rally games and covers this nicely, its just a case of not knowing what PD's plans are regarding rallying, iam just praying its not the same chore as gt4's horrid rally engine.

Imo there will be not a co-driver and not even arrow on th screen. I think Wrc license will be wasted by PD.

Well they had co-drivers actually in the cars in GT4 but they were just a bit of dead weight. Gran Turismo has never had any kind of voice over on any of the racing sections (only the course guide features in GT4P and GT4) until now in GTPSP it is over the racing section, which I hope is optional but I'll find out next week. But I can't see it being a problem to implement as PS1 games had it.

All this is of course assuming GT5 will have actual rally stages and not just circuits.

Since we have head tracking, I want a cute girl next to me so I can check her out on the long straights. Now that is being realistic

I, for one, rely on the co-driver 100% of the time. Being a rally fanatic, I know what all the call signs mean. So turn off the arrows and any other junk on the screen, turn up the volume, and listen to what my co-driver has to say. 👍

There's a co-driver in the demo................... I think PD can do a reasonable job with it, but I don't have too much faith in that part because the rallying in GT4 was bad.

I used to be the same, until I realised that most rally games seem to suffer from this problem:

*In mid-air doing 120mph*
"20, Right 1"

Yeah, some directions could be changed. I find myself saying that sometimes after I have gone through a corner. "That should have been a ________." There's a really tricky 3 left over crest on the Croatian rally stage on DiRT2 that will get you every time if you aren't paying attention.

I think you will learn the tracks well enough Jinx that a co driver calling out notes would be a waste of time. I remember playing Colin Mcrae and I had trouble with the co drivers accent. You will be fine.

So you think there is Real Drivers, Co-Pilots, real cars, damage, mechanical and aesthetic and they've taken half a decade, and you still think there will be no Co-Pilot voice or visual cues?:lol::lol::lol:
