Does this glitch also work in online races at Top Gear? I haven't seen anyone do it, but there seem to be a ton of goof off Top Gear rooms.

That glitch they have said can't be fixed for some reason.

I used to host "top gear reasonably priced car" rooms and it was fun till I walked out of the room for about 5 minutes for a smoke. When i walked back into my bedroom and saw that someone had got the room so mad and everyone was mad at about two people and saying "glitcher cheater". When i asked what was going on they said the about two people were doing this glitch. I kicked them out and then the fun remained. I have been debating on doing these rooms again but instead of the recommended cars we would all get the cars together to run one day before. I would have the room set to "tuning prohibited" so they all would be stock

Turn around at the point of track in the video at 0:20 then run back to the start line. You have to dip slightly left into the "follow-through" before doing the same over the line as you show. I haven't tried it since the update, but if the one you show still works I guess the one I've described will also. (I'll try and post up a video if it does) Basically if you were to edit out everything from 0:21 to 1:25 you'd have the lap I describe.
You can run sub 30 second laps with this glitch in a powerful enough car, good fun for trolling the kiddies in their drag rooms, lol.

I did that today.
Works on all cars.

They won't fix it. They have known about it for a very very long time. Specially when that seasonal event with the Mercedes sls

It won't get fixed. Only way to fix it is to re due the track's check points. They haven't yet and probably won't ever fix it. Maybe GT6.

I honestly don't care if do the track the right way.

So many other much more game breaking problems they have refused to fix. So I think it's safe to say it will never be fixed.

I'd like to see them fix the stupid Le Mans bug that makes the AI cars pit every lap. It absolutely ruins this 24hr race. There's also a game breaking weather bug, tire bug that makes the AI pit on first lap. Too many other serious problems with this game to list. PD have shown they are unwilling to make this a proper game.

They will only fix superficial things like the weight on a car etc but ignore the detrimental flaws of the game. It's like a surgeon going in to fix a gun shot wound but instead of taking care of that serious wound he gives the patient a nose job.

I think that from launch PD knew how broken and totally unfinished the game is. They thought they could patch it after release but they underestimated how bad the problems are. I think they have given up trying to fix the game. Too many problems that would take too much time and money to fix. They better redeem themselves with GT6.

Still works, thanks.
Made beginner and advanced really easy.
Still can't do the lotus race though.. man that traction is horrible and those others are so fast :/

Is there any more glitches like this one (or other tips) I should know about if I want to platinum the game while having a HARD time with licenses/special events/nürnberg official GT-R Record.
Also having troubles with Nascar and FormulaGT in A-spec..

There's another problem with the Top Gear track. In a 30 lap race in Arcade mode the field of 16 spread out. I was in 2nd place, got hit at the crossover by a car that I was half a lap ahead of and pushed the wrong way. I turned round and went the correct way. However at the end of the lap my lap didn't register so suddenly I went from 2nd to 7th although wasn't overtaken. That track is great fun for racing but creates serious problems for the PD programming monkeys.

LOL  but please lemme ask you a question... why would you race 30 laps on this track anyway? :nervous:

A fair question. You can get some really good racing on it and it's got some excellent technical corners. We were looking at doing a race there as part of an RM/TC series so I was testing fuel and tyre wear as there are no pits. Tyres fine but the lap count issue makes it a no go. Risk of death at the crossover is just an extra thing to be wary of and can be avoided by careful driving.

Fair point bro 👍
I can imagine it like one of those victorian type races at the crossover... after you Sir

Nice imagery there Sid. Our racing group is a bit like that sometimes. All gentlemen, the lot of them (except the ladies). In fact some of the more "experienced" gents are nearly old enough to be called Victorian.
