Well if you happened to run into a Civic or a small economy car in that thing, the driver's of the two cars would say different things if they wrecked into each other. This is what they wouldsay:

1-Ton Civic Driver: AHHHHH!!!! We got be hit by a train! *dies*

5-6 ton Maybach/Merc Driver: *puzzled look on face* Did we hit a squirrel?

Uh, no - let's keep it in perspective. Four tons is 8,000 pounds. It comes in at slightly over three tons (a little under 6,400 pounds).

was m5 talking of the maybach or hummer weight? for the maybach i was just guessing 3 or 4 tons. seemed to be accurate enough.

about being hit by one of these ****ers, should be less trouble than by a monster suv because those things are higher. apparently when a suburban hits a car, it hits the "kill zone". I think the mass of a truck or suv hits just above where the car is made to defend. Not much protection for the windows. Im sure m5 can elaborate on this, because I do not know that much on this subject.

IMO the maybach and all of the upper upper class cars (bentley, maybach, rolls) are ugly. A 760iL or the above car would do me just fine

Merceds is confusing me. Are there any Merc's sold with a manual transmission? Sure, 400-500HP is impressive, even with an auto, but anything over 550HP seems...weird. And 640HP seems downright bizzare. Is this supposed to be a luxury sedan or a M5-beater (in some odd way)? How can 0-60 in less than 5 seconds be considered the better part of luxury? Desirable, sure, but gran'ma might suffer a broken rib or two should this thing start to get its game on.

Perhaps there'll be enough NBA players to sell this out for the season. :-/

well, mb is in the business of making luxury cars. But if they want to make quick cars also, for bragging rights, they can do that too. And Im sure there are people with tons of money out there that have money to waste on a car just like it. A car being fast doesnt have to make one more luxurious, that doesnt make much sense.
