"Dear Derek,

Thank you for participating in the Logitech Challenge event in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. We are pleased to inform you that for Week 1 of the challenge, you were randomly selected from all of the participants to win a prize. Congratulations, and thank you for supporting Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Logitech.

As a winner, we would like to award you with the prize package as outlined in the official contest rules. In order to claim your prize, you will need to fill out the attached affidavit, verifying your eligibility as a US resident and that you are over 18 years of age, and have it notarized. This means that you must sign the document in the presence of the notary public. You will need to send this back within 7 days of receipt of this email. You may fax it to us to get it in on time, but we will still require the original notarized version to be supplied by mail. If we do not hear back from you by the deadline, you will forfeit the prize and the next person in line will be selected to receive the prize. If you do not meet the eligibility requirements of the contest, as outlined in the contest rules, we cannot award you the prize, and it will be awarded to the next person in line."

I've never won anything like this before... and will continue in much the same manner since I live in Canada. :ouch:

What a shame. I wish there was a way I could claim this prize, just to be able to say I randomly won something in a contest.

Good luck, one of you might be next in line for getting my come-uppins.

Man I feel for you.

Hold on one isn't Canada part of North America? You don't need a pass port to cross right?

This is funny that they JUST got around to telling you now when the actual contest was months ago. Maybe this explains why they haven't actually sent out the prizes to the winners yet.

rmk700 got his (whatever it was) earlier this week.

Dont you know some people from the states?
Maybe one of the guys here in the forum could help you, put his adress in their and then let him send it to you.

That would be cheating and/or fraud. 👎

Don't encourage that except via PM.:D

I received my prize package from Logitech last week as well. I received the 2nd place prize package, a wireless wheel and set of speakers ($200 value). This was the same package as rmk700, mine was from week 3, rmk's was week 2.

I believe there was a delay in the prize shipment because of difficulty in verifying the eligibility of the winners, places 1-3 for each week, and especially the 5 random prizes for each week. All winners had to sign and notarize an affidavit of eligibility, which would help to prevent the fraud suggested earlier in this thread.

Just saying the person who has it in the US can send it to him, reading is FTW but sharing is caring. Even if it won't be possible lol. :sly:

It came via e-mail.

If I didn't already have a G25, I'd be more upset by the disqualification. Hopefully whoever was next on the drawing list has a real need for the prize and it doesn't end up eBay or something.
