Already paying my Isp 4 Access
I have a dslr (canon 400D) with a sigma lens, for about 3 years now and i was just beginning (3 days) in photoshop and HDR, trying to do it without exaggering

Here are some of my best shots ( HDR will be marked to not fool someone).
First batch will be only HDR.

Resized all to 1366*768px

PS only (blueing a bit the sky), Verdun memorial (Feb 2011)

HDR only

Next week i will be getting my Manfrotto tripod, so i finally can take shots without shaking.
These shots were all taken free hand (terminator arm wtf!).

The watch is a bit too. Honestly, that overly mapped HDR look is just... cartoony. And since when was HDR made into a program? It simply refers to a system last I checked...

Anyhow, HDR just cheapens how a lot of photos look, especially with how it is doing it. And are you using multiple exposures or is it building of a single shot? Curious since you said you were hand holding.

Normally 3 exposures with auto exposure. (-2.0.+2) That's all i can do on the 400d. Using aperture mode with continues shot so i get my shot during less than a second if good lightning.
The rabbit is the only one made of one raw.

I already read somewhere here that you don't like HDR pics, well some love it some hate it.
I have another batch waiting on my other PC to be uploaded.
Will also upload some other pics, not reworked at all.
Will upload during the weekend.
Curious : where did i say that HDR was a program?

Here are some non reworked shots:

So here is a new batch of photos
Here are some more of the new shots from the sunny days we had, but some are still in RAW and hadn't time to convert them all. (Posting here from my Gaming rig, so no photo program installed on this PC)

Enjoy.
And I would also enjoy some comments (and as I said I'm still in the learing process, so advices are welcome)

Bought a nice book about HDR, so they will get better over time.

Think you're overdoing it with the HDR.. A good edited photo in PS looks so much better then fake HDR..

It isn't even the HDR but the tone-mapping. And it really just cheapens the look of everything I think.

PS has options for doing HDR as well, but really it should emulate real life rather than the exaggerated exposure adjustments being generated by this program.

Hard to make a selection with 500 + shots.

Made a quick selection :

Sadly had not enough time and so I missed some of the cars :(

Enjoy

I like the Ford Cortina shots (#90) and the B&W shot of the mechanic. :)👍 These pics look nice and they arent over processed at all, nice natural look... Nice work!

Thanks Blitz, nice to finally get a positive post in my thread yuppy :sly:

The first pic of the red porsche is my personal fav.
Cristal clear (seeing the lines of the headlines) and the drivers without a pol filter.

The Cortina was such a nice done car too

The Sub passanger made me laugh, no helmet and looked bored to death :dunce:

Update yeah...

So some shots with the Canon EF50mm 1:1.8 II

And some with macro rings for 10 quid.

Have used all 3 extension rings and a sigma 10-200mm

Got the rings today, so need to play a bit more with it. Quite impressed with the result for the price

Nice shots ibo! I really like the first shot, but the red sign on the right is a tad distracting in comparison to the rest of the shot.... :) The extension ring shots worked out well too 👍 What is that in the last shot exactly?

Thanks Blitz and Alex, the last pic is one of the wheels of the RAT5 mouse.
I need to take the tripod and do comparaison shots with the different tubes and objectives. Also bought an wide angle for an objective (also for around 10 quid), but it is less impressive as the macro rings.

Thanks Blitz, the macro rings really shine through certain objects and on others it is near impossible to get the DOF at the right place.
I too thought that about the bunny, will do one for sure ;)

Big upload, but finding the right ones in the 1000s shots I made, ain't that easy.

Some nice shots in there, *ibo*, but this one is my favorite.
Everything blurred except for the driver lends to the feeling of speed and leading the car creates some anticipation as to what's in front of him. 👍

Great shots ibo! I see a few very nice panning shots in there too 👍 The woodlands backdrop suits the shots nicely.

Thanks Carlos.

Have quite a few of these shots through the trees, but I can not be hassled to upload all the pics, there are too many of them :D rofl

Shot 1362 pics, eliminated the blurry ones, still 999 left  , all in raw, had about 10 GB! 3Tb FTW
