The Flying Finn Tommi Makkinen has gone out with an overheating engine after damaging his radiator. Surprise, surprise. That opens the field up. Good to see McRae getting it done within a very fast group of racers who excell in these conditions. Ruichard Burns has also suffered similar radiator problems after striking a snow bank. He lost over 1.5 minutes clearing the air intake and radiator.
