Idea:(GT4)Sound and speed comp

For about 4 Weeks now ive been thinking of a new comp which involves music and GT4 Phototravel & Photomode.
Basically somebody (the winner of the previous week) will choose a song or piece of music which people will have to make a suitable shot for.
So say someone chose the prodigy - firestarter they would also give a hint to what they want to see in shots, perhaps:A cars exhaust backfiring at the start line of a circuit.
The comp would be run by me and would alternate between PMC & 2.0 and some weeks TT may be allowed as well.

Please vote what you think and post you thoughts and feelings towards my idea.

Some more help:

Well, its one photo taken by yourself which you think suits the piece of music best, the judge will give a hint of what they are looking for in your shot, then theywill decide which one they think suits it the most.Only their decision counts(if you get what i mean)

Yeah,i like the idea too.But i don't get this.How can a music relay to your photo and does it have to be just one photo or an animated photo (slideshow).Please explain to me the concept of the competition so that i get to know better and enter

Well, its one photo taken by yourself which you think suits the piece of music best, the judge will give a hint of what they are looking for in your shot, then theywill decide which one they think suits it the most.Only their decision counts(if you get what i mean)

Well it doesn't really matter if you don't know the song because its what it inspires you to do from listening to it.(but i understand what you mean)

Amazon has an extensive collection of "pre-hears" from almost any song from any album they sell..

+ unless you get really tacky, mainstream will probably be dominant anyway..

I don't do Competitions, but sounds like a great idea 👍

Like the idea! I'm not one for competitions normally, but I would probably try it.

Also, for those who wouldn't have the song selected, you could use www.radioblogclub.com to listen to the whole song for free (if it's there).

Tommi have gave the song of the Prodigy (Firestarter) as a example, and in the music we can choose a part that we could use for a theme. Hope U guys understand...👍

So it's gonna be the same concept as the Inspiration comp we had before. but i think this is a very good idea, and i totally support it. but i think it's gonna be a hard one to do photos for atleast for me i think so. specially if it's gonna be so specific if you know what i mean, but then again music does
mix with art all the time, and when it happens, you get a very very good picture and a piece of art and vice versa. this comp would of been better if it we were to pick music for a racing replay video! oh well

Week 1 : Linkin Park- Faint

Then we enter our shots of what we think fit that song. Then at the end is there a poll? Or is it the theme picker picks the one shot that he/she likes best? I am confused. BUT I love the idea, just start the comp now....you know you want too......I help with banners...if you want....

Yes, no there isn't a poll but some weeks i might put a poll up so the users of GTP can pick a winner but for now a judge chooses the winner.

There is going to be a poll!, people wil vote for the shots that make it through and once it has closed the votes will be collected in as normal, BUTThe judge will then award points to their 5 favourite shots in this order:
1st - 5 points
2nd - 4 points
3rd - 3 points
4th - 2 points
and finally:5th - 1 point
So someone might get 20 votes in the poll but only 1 from the judge and the person who got 16 votes might get 5 so they would wim
This way the comp wil be more interesting(if you understand what im saying)

Am I the only one who thinks this is a bit of a no go idea? First off; not everyone will have heard the song in question or be able to run the previews.

Secondly; you said that the song picker could give some idea of what they wanted in the image. Surely that's just the same as saying what you're looking for in the standard PMC? Could you not just say 'the theme is ____ and was inspired by____' if you really wanted a music based theme?
