Hmmm, an ultimate GT4. I like that idea, maybe it could work as a special "HD Edition" for the PS3 & PS4 if PD were willing to go through with such a project.

I'd say that a GT4 port for smartphones/tablets may work with all those cars/tracks, but with the amazing graphics GT4 had I'm not sure about it.

@tankuroded

I want to say, that it's at least half-possible! ;)
I have a thread around here about 3d models from gt3/4/psp era, and i've got results :)
(Better watch it fully to get the concept of ripping and other stuff ;) )

And I just found the last fix I needed to make cars look just like in the game.

We can try it inside my own game, and even more, it will be possible to play it not only on pc, but on android devices too.

What do you think?

If only this Ultimate GT4 could have the GT3-like engine GT4 Prologue had. GT4 is already awesome, but only if PD kept the GT3-like physics and engine, then it would've been EVEN BETTER.

I've been playing gt3 off and on now for the past 6 months or so, just wanted to add that one of the engines in 5p was really good too. I can't remember before or after which update or whatever but it was good.

You can, but it depends if other people would be on board with this. Though, I guess other people would since the PS2 generations GT games are well loved by fans.

For me, yeah; I would love the see a Gran Turismo title that combines the best of the PS2 era games into one. "Gran Turismo 4: Ultimate Edition" perhaps.

EDIT: I do have some ideas if such a game could exist.

- Gran Turismo 3's user interface
- Gran Turismo 3 & 4 events meshed together
- Gran Turismo 4's used car showroom
- Gran Turismo 3's physics engine
- GT4 style dealerships.

Well, scince we're all gt fans, and most of us are familiar with ps2 era (best console ever) I think we should give it a try.
I will build a demo in a couple of days, based on my racing sim game.
Should I try to recreate gt3 arcade experience or gt4 serious simulation? Cuz I can make both of them.

BRILLIANT MY GOOD SIR!

Well,I'm almost ready to post it,but i have a small problem here

1)GT3\4\psp transparensy shaders are very complicated,so It's very challenging to me to make ones that look as good as GT's

You can see some issues on pictures.I'm working on it.

2)Centering the model,especially wheels,because you can't rip cars in "T-Pose"

However,I can give you a build to test tommorow, tell me,which platform would you like to try? Android or PC?
I think, android version would be a very interesting experiment ;)

About converting:Non-racing car takes about 2-3 hours. Racing car(Sponsors and etc) takes a lot more(5-7 hours)

👍 Awesome work.

PC sounds like it would be a lot easier to use for testing.

Edit: Besides, a PC is far faster than a touch-screen device.
