Place for bugs and ideas. (no car or track requests)

1. The obvious track poly stitching in some of the tracks so we don't get the white lines.
2. Volume for Race SE should turn down/off the crowd.
3. Skid and engine SE should be renamed from Race SE.

There should be a home screen icon in the driving challenges section, it gets annoying clicking back thru 5 or so screens just to get back to the home screen :(

It's sort of a moot point because there's no good way to create and implement a patch. It can be done on a computer but I can't delve into that further here.

But I definitely agree with light contact being allowed during Driving Challenges. If anyone has tried the O-1 test yet you can clearly see during the demonstration how the GT-One lightly taps the Merc off-line in order to muscle for the finish line. Try the same yourself, and you'll fail 50 times in a row.

The track sections with the white dashes are really off putting for me.
AI needs to be improved, maybe to match your driving so it can be more fun.

I dunno, I don't really notice the stitching on the track unless I really look for it. I think that there's just a few tiny problems with the game that are pretty well pointed out above, so I doubt there'll be a patch. In before "Add more tracks and career mode k thanks bye."

Along with the collision/penalty bs (which has always been there) the physics for some of the cars really need to be addressed. Seems no matter how little throttle you apply all that wants to happen is the car wants to swing around the corner, crash into a barricade and cost you the challenge.

I think the tyres they give you get switched around throughout the challenges, like on of them with the Enzo, the car understeers badly at turn in, then oversteers a little on transition then in the first 3 gears it spins the tyres easily even in a straight line with pretty much any revs. I think it has N1 or N2's on it, I haven't got the Enzo to see what it's like with different tyres.

Furai backfire isn't in right spot from what I could see.

--edit--
From side it looks fine. from rear it looks too high.

increase fav's to 50 or 75. I dont have 50 cars but I'm sure i will soon. Also a virtual on screen steering wheel or tire angle like GT2 and Enthusia had.

I'd really like to see a bit more customization, or at least some improving, in the car-matching setup for the races. I'd like to be able to restrict cars to a certain vintage, for example, it bugs me when I end up against a CRX that's much faster in the straights, when I'm driving a classic Alfa. A little bit more control over car type, would be nice, too, I got stuck against three Veyrons when I was in a ZR1, and while I could out-corner them, they'd just pass me in the straights. Another thing that I'd like to see is correct racing car types, every time I drive a GT300 car, there's at least one rally car in the group, and it usually falls to the rear quite quickly.

If you didn't know, If you push the triangle on the umd icon. you'll see that it has an update button. I think most games will have it now, I've noticed Rock Band Unplugged has.

Great info, with that that means Sony could update all the down loadable/installable games if they chose.

AI cars bumping into you during the challenges should not cause the challenge to fail.

Yes, light contact should be allowed. Sometimes you can, and sometimes it fails you...at least when I have done it. In the "Muscle Car" test when you are driving the C3 Corvette, I watched the demonstration, and even when the Corvette was running into the Charger in the lead, it didn't fail. And it also didn't win! I thought the demo was supposed to show us how to win. Hahaha...

In one of the other test...with the S2000 at Autumn Ring. The driving line goes right though a pylon, that if you touch, fails you.

Improved selection of the opponents cars would also be appreciated. I don't think they will update it, however.

I dont think an update would actually be that diffcult because if you install GT's data to memory stick it could just update a few files there I mean the ps3 does the same thing with the installed files from the BD discs and I now have dev unit and it's easy to see how it does it.

but it does make you wonder are sony doing this for a reason are they working on ways of preventing hackers without releasing new firmware all the time.

You should be able to see if you already own a car from the manufacturer > brand menu and not have to load each car seperatly.
