Hi,

I just experienced something quite funny. For some days I've been playing on a friend's game and had the opportunity to try the basics of GT5rologue. I tought the game looked nice so I was gonna buy it just for the drifting side of it as I'm not all that great of a racer.

Tonight I pop on the GT Drift Channel which was pointed to me as the place for all GT drift meetings and all. I go there, and start chatting with a few pals. Someone talk about Forza Motorsport and I feel like telling my opinion about it. I talk about the goods and bad of Forza and GT. Then that guy, which I wont tell the name, start bashing at me, saying that because I like Forza, I'm a crap and I dont deserve to play Gran Turismo. He bans, kick and does everything possible to me on the drift chat.

Quite a warm welcome to the drifting community. I was getting the hang of drifting on Gran Turismo but after seing how immature some peoples of that community were, I am really tempted to do a 180 and get into racing, if not just dont buy the game. I'm asthonised some peoples can be so harsh at others just because they have the admin power and because you are a newcomer to something.

Anyway, what I want to know is: Did I just met the only nublet on GT5 or everyone is this way? This is scarying.

wow sorry to hear that you were treated that way as i am an active member of that drift chat and dont appreciate the younger kids actions there much. So once again sorry for the imature actions of the younger KIDS in the chat dont let there actions speak for the rest of us.

you got delt what you deserved. Disrespecting others in a chat on your "first" time there is not a smart thing to do. Its your mouth that got you a ban.

It was not yer ideals that got you banned...but rather the attitude you had in the room...This is just a misunderstanding...You can't just go into a chat room the very first time acting like hot **** telling people to shut up etc.

Well i came in the drift chat a little too late to witness but all i can say is that you must've done something for them to ban you or kick you out, they wouldn't just do that for no reason, I'm sure of that.

Done deal. This happened couple times before, not the drift chat, but on track and someone actually makes an account and tries to frame someone for something that never took place. Oh well.

i dont even see why that happened, is he into games that much and he lives off gran turismo? to whoever that was, its just a game, forza is also a game, they both have pros and cons, what gt does badly might be really good in forza. its like saying i will only eat red apples and i despise green ones.

rider's motion, you practically started a flame war for even mentioning Forza. most people said exactly what I would have said, you do NOT mention forza to GTers, and vice versa. when you start out anywhere on the net, start very slowly and get the feel of a fandom, no matter what kind, before getting really involved. be more carefull next time, because a thing like that can get you insta-banned nowadays.

Like gator said, yu must have said something in the chat room that was offensive to any of the "owners". I have been in that chat room since the beginning, around June or July, and I have never had that many problems or at least not so severe. Just go back to the chat room and start of slow there. If you go and start calling people out and start being offensive, you can be sure the mods and owners will kick you out. BTW, when did this happen?? I don't recall this happening, I probably wasn't there because the last time I was there was Saturday.

Well ive known dking for QUITE A while now and I talked / drifted with him a lot of times.

He knows i'm from canada and he never said anything wrong with that.
In fact I think he's one of the greatest guy in the drifting community, he's always helpful and a really nice guy.

Err I think we have a Forza section here on a largely GT based forum and a forum is a very pointless place if differing opinions and rivals cannot be compared.
