If they made a DFP II, what would you want on it?

If Logitech made a new and improved DFP, then I would like to have:

1. A clutch pedal would be nice, even if it doesnt actually do anything. That way I dont have to make one out of Contstrux Building toys and rubber bands.
2. A stick shift that's not just a thing you push up and down, but a stick shift that you can actually use to go from 4th to 2nd without ever touching 3rd.
3. An E-brake handle that works. Yeah, I admit that thats asking a lot, but hey.

Hmm, thats al I can think of, but feel free to add on.

I'd like to second the clutch pedal. A full gearbox would also be nice, but then there are too many different ones, so I think I'd be fine with the current one. I don't mind that you'd have to tap twice to shift down, it'd be like in a rally car. But the clutch, that's something else. I'd love to be able to accidentally kill your engine and have to fire it up again, stuff like that - it'd make accellerating off the line much more of an art.

There is a lot of clutch simulation in GT already. An example is a trick you can use to shift down in GT4 and skip a few gears. Just brake, and when you're ready to shift, tap the reverse button. As soon as you hit gas again, the correct gear will be engaged.

Hahaha, yeah, I guess. But me, Im the kind of guy who does Heel-Toe on his pedals, hahahaha. But, yeah, my friends and I have talked about having a gearbox on it, but thatd be expensive as hell.

I don't wanna be a downer, but this has already been posted. But yeah, clutch and H shifter. If no H shifter, I just use the little flipper things behind the wheel. Much easier. :dunce:

A clutch, I'm ok with the "up and down only" stick shifting, since many real life race cars do have that, but I would like it to look more like a real shifter, instead of the "arcadish" look to it. A bigger steering wheel, this I would like too see more importantly than any other feature.

Only improvement I want is better pedals - the build quality of the pedals is poor in compare to wheel.

H-shift, clutch, e-brake - unnecesary, from my point of view. Idea of having E-brake is just ridiculous, there's no need that any E-brake would survive 5 laps on gravel track without 1000$ worth of bulding quality. Not to talk about the construction it would require to be fixed. Null.

Metal-bulit pedals, metal-back-shifters and metal-gearhift. More metal in bulding process and appropriate update of forcefeedback software. I'd pay 100 euros more (DFP costs about 150 euros in Europe) for wheel well built.

If there should be new feature to make buying new wheel a must, then it would probably be lights for rev-counter on the wheel, when all the dials turned-off on-screen (wanted game option).

What about force feedback pedals (for the brakes of course) or possibly a hydraulic system that simulates real pressure on the brakes. And whatabout force feedback in the pedal units themselves? you could simulate the "rumble" of the engine and the road noise.
