Hi all.

I'm Greg Pass, founder of Gran Turismo Wiki. We're planning on rolling out a huge update very soon, and so I was wondering this:

If you could change anything at all about Gran Turismo Wiki, what would it be and why?

We thrive on constructive feedback and we're willing and ready to implement new features or changes in order to make GTW the best wiki we can. You're free to list as many complaints and suggested changes as you want and, if enough users complain about the same thing, I'll see to it that the fix gets implemented.

NOTE: I know the search bar is probably going to get a lot of criticism, but Wikia specifically forbids us from fixing it. I think this is a stupid, terrible move on their part, but for now all we can do is tell you to download the fix for Firefox.

Thank you for all your support and constructive criticism. This might sound a little cliche, but your feedback is absolutely vital to us. It gives us direction and tells us how we can improve. We are committed to making GTW the best wiki out there, and we need your help to make it so.

Thanks!

I wonder if you're aware of GTPedia, the complete encyclopaedia of Gran Turismo compiled by the site itself, notebly Famine & Jordan.

We were actually founded before GTPedia was even a thing, so... yeah.

Ok, I haven't been to your site so I'll make sure to pay a visit and leave some feedback for you.

It needs to be updated. It's incomplete
Personally I'm not sure it's ever possible for a project of this scale to be complete. Since GT6 released last year we've added over 700 pages, the entire wiki is far larger than GTPedia, and we're still nowhere near being finished.

Besides, it's a wiki; anyone can contribute! Why not hop on and write a page or two? :)

If I had a point of criticism, it would be that the amount of information on similar subjects (e.g. tracks) varies a lot. Take Grand Valley Speedway as an example. This one track in itself is a small wiki with lots of details (even a corner-by-corner guide) and info on what the surroundings once looked like. In the other end of the spectre, I'm pretty sure I once saw a track with no info on circuit length.

As you said, though, it is a wiki (dare I call it a legendary one? Yeah, I think that works, I do use it somewhat often), so contributing might not be a bad idea 👍

When I get the time I'll write a few articles. I think it is feasible to have a completed GT Wiki, GTA did it

So, aside from the top bar (which we can't fix), does anyone have any issues with the interface or any software features that they'd like implemented? With this next update we're focusing especially hard on making the site easier to browse and use.

This is something I'd like addressed too. If it was up to me, every page on the wiki would contain extensive information regarding every single detail about a subject, but since the wiki is written by hundreds of people around the globe, it's hard for us to curate effectively. Maybe if we had more admins we could do it, but it would take a while even then.

Well on the tracks front I could drive around and compile a set of guides for a good amount of the tracks in all of the main games.

I'm also working on a page for the Community section which I may or may not share for development on GTP. The same goes for the driving guides.

EDIT: Talking of adding information, it appears that GT6 isn't in the [Main Games] tab.
