I have seen it used somewhere with a DFGT, worked well as I remember.

Can't remember which forum though :/

I'm using one with a folding Walmart chair. Although Dave has been slightly modified with wood supports and a wood base to make it stiffer. Still too flimsy for my liking though.

I have one here at home that we use as as a side stand for a sofa.

I don't think it would work very well as a wheel stand, way too flimsy.
The tripod base is plastic, and the vertical support is very thin-walled tubing.

One of the legs on the plastic tripod base is much shorter than the other two.
That makes it a bit unstable, so I don't even like to sit drinks on it.
We mainly just use it to keep the remotes for the TV/Stereo handy.

Do you have pics?

Thanks for the info I might lookinto modding it or finding anotherone but so far it's the cheapest I have found and I can buy it locally and dont have to order off the web :)

I have the 'Dave' and my advice would be to try something else.

The front edge is curved, making wheel clamping very, very difficult, if not impossible. You'd have to probably drill your wheel to the table using the mounting points.

I use my 'Dave' for my laptop / snacks etc and neither my old DFGT or G27 are able to clamp on it, (I clamp my G27 to my desk, which is a much better option)

The 'Dave' is also too shaky and also the leg in the middle means you would rub your legs on the bar using your pedals.

But for the money it is you'd find other uses for it around the house so see if it works for you!

I am pretty sure you "unsold" me the Dave :D I might end up diying something else completely thanks though.

Thanks to CLEVOHEAD, I've built my new wheel stand.
It's very stable and can be stored under the bed (congratulation also from my wife....).

Total cost 40 euros (19,99+wood and variuos hardware). Only 1 hour to put it together. I hope you like it.
