I can't believe this...on short notice, I'm headed to the New York International Auto Show this weekend! I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon for New York City (my first time to the "Big Apple"), and I am already extremely psyched about visiting my first car show. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures, and hopefully I'll be able to stop in once in a while and let you guys know what I've seen so far.

On a more serious note, please allow me to apologize for my lack of free time over the past few weeks. My PM's are piling up, and if you have sent me one please be patient as I will hopefully be able to return your message when I return home next week. :)

TAKE ALOT OF PICS JOrdan and i mean it man it'll be a blast take some pics of were the Great Twin Towers were b4 ! have alot of fun, and take care!

The NYAS is usually kind of fun, but if you've ever been to any of the European shows, the NY one is quite a letdown. Be sure not to go on a weekend, as you'll be flooded out by -- literally -- the riff-raff. Meatheads "pimping this" and "stylin' that". I'm going tomorrow. Early. As in, when it opens. I should be gone by late lunchtime. If you're there, I'll be the redhead taking pictures of just about everything, waiting for the best possible shot each time.

Okay. I went. I took lots of pictures. And I have to say that for the past three years, the show compared to the previous year is summed up best as: "Eh...."

I have pictures of everything that was there, but there were a lot of things that weren't there. I compared what was on the official NY Auto Show web site to what I saw. For example, the Cadillac V16 was not there. I even saw the rest of the Cadillac booth in the picture, with the XLR in the background. There wasn't even any interesting cars there. "Most Interesting of Show" is the Enzo (lots of shots of that beast), and I wasn't all that thrilled to see that. The one thing I really did want to see -- the WRX STi -- I got just one shot of...from the rear bumper.

So I'm taking requests. I didn't bother with the more mundane cars (I was there for 5 hours, as it was), but most every new car and concept was photographed, including the '53 Corvette and '56 300B. Speaking of which, where was the "special car" section? You know, the one with the Cours d'Elegance competitors and past-winning racers? Missed that section last year, too.

But I walked out with a new 1:18 car (if I can't buy up the real things...): an Exoto 959. Reasonable price, lots of detail, but it still doesn't compare to AutoArt models (like my Scooby 22B).

Right, back to what I was talking about: I've got 130-something shots, all 1600x1200. I'm no pro photographer, but whatever anyone wants, I'll post.

Not much from Dodge. At least, nothing that you can't find elsewhere in person (Viper SRT-10, Neon SRT-4). But the Kahuna was...um...there.

Dodge Tomahawk.

I still believe that a standard bike gas tank is designed for a standard bike engine, not an 8.3L V10. I'm sure this thing will run to 400MPH, but the driver will be stranded quite shortly afterwards.

Subaru Impreza WRX STi 2004

Here's where you can all me an idiot. The one car I really wanted to see, and this is the only shot I got of it. I'm starting to think my observation skills have been dulled by a startling lack of sleep.

I've been lucky enough to see a WRX STi on the street about two months ago. :D

Hooligan, they dont just thnk of an idea and put it to work without thinking it out first. It can hold alot more gas than that and since the engine isnt pulling a 1 and a half ton Viper behind it, the engine gets better gas milage. Anyway, its just a concept.

Nice pictures :). Did you see anything from Ferrari?
