I'm stuck on Career

I just got the came a few days ago, and it was fun at first but now I got stuck and I don't know what to do. I completed the first season with the small go karts. I thought I was supposed to start 250cc go karts, but I never did. Well, that's what it says by my name, but I never started it, and instead I'm racing something that looks like a Porsche. I thought that might be fun, but now I'm stuck because it is a lot harder than the go karts so I keep going off the track or if I try to slow down everyone passes me up. If I go end the session it says that it will put me in the next session, so I'm not sure what to do next?

You accepted a contract for the 250cc Superkart and it is listed next to your name? If so, you'll start your Superkart championship later in the season. There are other events called Invitationals that unlock as you play through the career; they are optional, but they come up on the same date(s) every year after you've been invited. Invitationals offer some variety between championship races, including races in historic cars and roadcars like the Ruf you're driving. You can skip them to move on to your Superkart championship.

Go on this link, there is a video that shows how the career works and what you need to step by step. On Internet you can find a lot of videos about career and other important suggestion.

Thank you. Seems like something went wrong but maybe it will tell me how to restart my career or something.

Thank you. It's making more sense to me now. I like the Ruf, but apparently I need more practice before racing it, because I had everything set to easy and I probably wouldn't even qualify.
