Improving 0-60 without affecting 0-100

So I've got my 0-100 perfect by adding the weight of my driver in my efforts to simulate my real life car, but now my 0-60 is around 5.5 where it should be 4.8.

Anyone got any tips for improving 0-60 without improving the 0-100?

Is it simply a case of playing with gear ratios and ballast?

It's also made more difficult by me trying to get rid of the 6th gear

Yes, car and full exact specs will be needed to really help here.
Weight, power, applied modifications, (exact real life gear ratios?) tires, the whole lot.

Making cars line up to real world spec is something I did quite a bit in GT4, and I'm sure can reasonably be done in GT5 as well.

Link not working, but need specs for what you have on the car in the game.
I assume S1 tires, yes?

And 265 horsepower 0-60 4.8? No.
The 2011 STI routes 305 horsepower from the same 2.5-liter flat-4 through a 6-speed manual transmission to all four wheels, meaning a blast to 60 mph will take 4.8 seconds, and the quarter mile in 13.5 seconds at 100.6 mph

It should be about 5.5-6.0 if I recall correctly.

Link works for me, but here's another for ya http://www.prodrive.com/products_level2.html?id=108&p=12

Scroll down to the bottom and select the 03-05 model

I'd check you facts and not rely on recollection if I was you, rather than question someone who not only owns said car, but has timed sub 5 sec 0-60 himself. :)

The key being the 5 gears and reaching 60 in second, not third.

I was using comfort softs in game and the car has no upgrade apart from the racing transmission and ballast added to get the weight.

Ok, well I already said SH tires. Link's not helpful at all, just prodrive's website.
Other than that, good luck getting a 265HP car to run with the same car at 300+HP.

Not saying it's impossible, but I'd certainly like to hear what you're getting/expecting on 0-100 also.

Should be about 14.5, right?

14.1

And like I said....

- you do one less gear change to get to 60 which is why it's faster
- at the bottom of the prodrive page it details the figures for the performance after their PPP upgrade
