In-Game effects of Race Mod?

What do people think (or know) the various effects Race Modifications have on the performance of the car?

It looks pretty, obviously, and the added aero is probably another obvious one...

I havent checked to see if it affects weight (at work and just throught of it lol) but that seems pretty viable...

Any other performance effects Race Mod does (or meant to) acheive?
