Include a Pro physics mode?

Have you considered adding a "pro" mode to the GT series. either in a patch to GT6 or in GT7? I do several forms of amateur motor-sports in real life, and I feel there is still a considerable "safety margin" built into the game. I would very much like to see a "pro" mode in which this safety margin is reduced or possibly even eliminated. I realize that without the car chassis surrounding you, making the physics completely realistic would likely make the game extremely difficult, but I also find that the safety margin is just too large even with all assists off. I can do things in GT6 which would cause me to crash and die in real life, yet I recover from them easily in GT6. It feels as if the physics-engine is pretty darn good, but that there is a safety-net protecting me overly from major goof-ups. (The most obvious example is the karting events, in which it is much easier to brake in corners than it should be. With their rear-only brakes most real-life karts are incredibly unforgiving of braking which isn't in a straight-line. In GT6 there is a good one-second delay before the kart begins to spin when braking during a turn, and even when it does begin to spin it is fairly easy to manage. Something that is untrue of real-world karting).

IMO we only need one set of physics...Pro Mode physics if you will, as real as possible. Then provide driver aids for those that have difficulty controlling the cars or just want to use them, or just slap RS tires on them like most people do anyway.

This isn't exactly true either. For one thing, shifter karts have front and rear brakes. A typical 100-125 cc kart without a shifter will have rear only brakes but those rear only brakes have 14 inches of racing quality rubber and only 140 kgs to stop making them incredibly efficient in terms of braking power even though they are rear brake only. Add to that you can go lock to lock with the steering with about a half turn of the wheel and it adds up to a different level of control than you'd have in a typical car, even a race car. Getting sideways and retaining control is quite possible in karts, happens all the time in real karts.

And if you are gentle, you CAN brake in corners... Takes a LOT of getting used to, but it REALLY improves your driving on ALL levels to win at karts! I know, it has for me!

Pro mode or GT pro.
Nice question 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Collisions in GT are laughably safe.
You can use AI as human brakes to catch up quick.

I do it when I'm desperate and there's little consequence in doing it.

I'd like to see more proper collisions with fishtailing, spinning out, etc. etc.

I do not believe that PD will make physics as real as possible because the GT fans will call it the undrivable driving simulator and they will not sell enough copys :(

Yes, that's true. I do it in racing karts very well myself. The difference is in the "safety cushion"... In a real kart, tapping those brakes even just the tiniest bit too hard while turning and you've got to be really, really good IMMEDIATELY... There is not a nice long safe delay before the bad things start to happen. In GT6 you can mash the pedal down while turning and there is this nice long pause where you've got tons of additional "safe time" to relax, pour a nice cup of tea, and THEN worry about counter steering... It's night and day (go drive a real kart then come back to GT6 right away and you'll immediately see what I'm getting on about...)

The physics are extremely impressive. Not PC sim levels, but getting closer with each release.
