Which cars do you think that you can't wide-body or do an engine swap with?

Open wheel cars, most race cars I guess you will not be able to wide-body

And I'm pretty sure the Mercedes F1 race car you can't do an engine swap.

open wheelers , vgts , rb x cars 🤔🤔🤔 or maybe there will be option of rbx2014 standard..to upgrade it to x2014 fan...it would be interesting to see. change engine and aero devices

Probably the VGT cars or similar concept cars in the game (Edit: Ninja'd)
Maybe even the Pebble beach or similar rarities for the sake of 'purity'

I'm imagining anything that isn't a road car can't do wide bodies. Racecars are already widened and are bound by rule books to be of certain dimensions. Open wheelers, to your point, would be difficult to imagine wide bodying. I have a hunch PD won't allow most VGT cars to be visually modified either. Also, with how fiercely protective Ferrari have shown themselves to be of their image, I don't know if many of their cars can be disfigured like that, if at all. I'm going to guess that the 458 is the only one that can, taking on the shape of the 458 GT3.

As for engine swaps, it's hard to say. Again, Ferrari comes to mind. Most of the Gr.3 and Gr.4 racecars don't have specified engine displacements, much less engines. I'm guessing those will be stuck with whatever they have. Would be sick to swap in the 600HP gasoline engine from the Atenza Gr.3 into the road going, diesel Atenza though.

I'm assuming all hypercars and racecars will not be able to have engine swaps.

As far as widebody upgrades, I will say most racecars Unless that particular car came in a different trim/aero for that season/year and most hypercars will not be allowed to have widebody upgrades.

Hopefully i'm wrong but PD don't seem like they will allow crazy swaps, though I would love to be proven wrong. Hopefully the options are better than T10 which let you swap a F50 GT V12 into every supercar and hypercar.

My guess is that wide-body will only be available for a number of road cars, but not for the more extreme ones. The Gr.3 road cars certainly won't feature that as they already have that.

I also don't expect all the cars to offer engine swaps. Wouldn't be surprised, if that is only available for a handful.

If we can turn the Ferrari F430 into the Ferrari 430 Scuderia I dont think Ferrari would have a problem with that. Or if we can turn it into the F430 GT2 that would be rad!!

The problem comes from third party kits because in NFS Heat a lot of unofficial stuff got removed for Ferrari many NFS fans wanted the Keonig bodykit for the Testarossa but did not happen due to Ferrari. Ferrari in general dont have a problem with official when its third party its a different story.

Also another problem we have is tyres since Ferrari and Pirelli are best buddies would Ferrari allow GT players to put michelin, bridgestone, goodyear or any other tyre brand into their cars?

As much as I love Ferrari they are really aholes when it comes to their brand. The problem is Ferrari is in such high demand to be in a racing game that developers and publishers are willing to jump the hoops to get the most famous brand in the history of automotive and the history of motorsport.

I'm with @Samus on this one.

My guess is that it will be a selection if specific cars rather than a criteria in category, etc. It will be a case of handpicked cars from the lineup that will have the option. .....I just hope he's wrong about the limited number.

In GT Sport livery editor, there are multiple brands of tyres for the 458 GT3. Plus, the Ferrari had to default to the Michelins with the FIA races. They wear Michelins in real race series as well. The problem will be, what standard decals are available for Ferraris. The GT community will handle the rest.

I'm guessing <25 cars will have the option for widebody.
Wouldn't be expecting a huge amount of bodykits indeed, but I'm thinking engine swaps could maybe be possible in more cars. The less you expect the better it is when the number is higher :) And of course they could keep adding them through updates.

I believe engine swaps are going to be brand/group-specific, where for example VW Group cars can take Porsche or Lamborghini engines, any car from Toyota, Lexus or Daihatsu taking their group's engines and so on, so as not to go overboard, as swapping in engines from different, non-related manufacturers would likely boil down to licensing (apparently, you can't LS, RB26 or two-JZ swap just about anything).

As for widebodies, a majority of road cars will get them as they see fit, while some sports cars, supercars, classics, Gr. 3/Gr. B-homologation specials and track day cars won't.

Expect cars popular with customization (GT-R's, Lamborghini Aventador/Huracan, Supra, etc.) to get them.

Pirelli is the only available tire sponsor in Brand Logo folder of built-in decals in GTS. You can still put "unapproved" sponsor decals by putting them to the Favorites folder beforehand (this might be fixed soon?).

That being said, they did approve this unique GT Auto wing for the Enzo in the PS3 era (Enzo never had a OEM wing option):

Though that maybe was because it was just a wing that fits with the car's design language.
